Photographs & Memories

My sis and I spent the eve of Dec 31 with Morning’s family. They offered because they know that New Year celebration is terrible in our neighborhood. Ain’t that sweet? We planned to bring along with us our pet cat Vhozzie but too bad she was so afraid to ride the car. After her escape we couldn’t find her anymore so we decided to leave her behind. I was quite worried because she was pregnant and the too much noise stresses her. However, we have no choice. Morning’s mom assured me that Vhozzie will be okay and will be back.

It’s foodies galore at their house. Morning made the most delicious pork and chicken bbq. It was really sooooo yummy. (over ba?) We even thought about him having a grille business, something like Grille Queen. We will name it Ihaw King. (Bongga di ba?) I’m absolutely sure that it will be a success. His Auntie Tess cooked Chop Suey and roasted chicken. His mom made corn soup and Daddy Elvis bought 1 gallon of ice cream. I forgot all about my diet. Yeah, I’m bad but I’m back to my after six diet the next day. hehehe.

After dinner we had so much fun looking at Morning’s album. His baby pictures are so funny and I discovered that my future husband loves to wink. Would you believe that he has a whole album of wink poses? (hahahahaha! super hilarious!) I should have got one and have it posted on our blog. Anyhow, the picture here is the one he gave me 3 months after we became a couple. This is outside their house and he is with her eldest sister Monet. I think he looks cute here and I hope if ever we have kids they would look like him. =) We had a couple of vodka ice and grilled fish and it was fun listening to his mom’s stories about the good old days. I thought that it must be lonely for parents when their children grow up and leave home. Morning has 4 siblings and 3 of them are overseas. I thought about my parents too whose children are now living on their own here in Manila. How important it is to keep in touch with our folks. =)

Morning also gave me a gift. He bought an adorable pink shirt which bears the message ” Half naughty Half N!cE “. Hehehehe. Isn’t he thoughtful? I so love the shirt.

We enjoyed our stay with them. I am so grateful and happy that I will belong to their warm and happy family. My sisters also embraced Morning with open arms. Finally they are having a kuya. =)
