Bittersweet

Published by nice under Food and Restos, Kilig Moments, Wedding

I love Morning!!!! Everyday I’m reminded why I am marrying him. He is God’s greatest gift and I couldn’t ask for anything better. He surprised me last monthsary (03.23) by buying me a dress. He really is the sweetest thing on earth! (hahaha! OA na to)

Here is the picture of the dress. Hair and light make-up by yours truly. hahahaha!

After that we ate at Banana Leaf. We loved the spare ribs in coffee sauce. Yummy! We had a fun celebration. I wonder what’s in store next month….

We had another fitting last Sunday. I am happy with the ento’s gowns but I really couldn’t feel that my gown is really “THE ONE”. I don’t know what’s wrong with me but even with the adjustments made, I’m really not satisfied. Morning knew how I feel and he says that it is okay to buy a new one. He has been patient and understanding with me but I feel guilty for making all these booboos. I feel stupid. I keep on thinking and thinking on what to do. I wanted to buy a new gown that will really make me feel that I’m THE BRIDE but I’m also thinking that it would be impractical considering the additional cost. However if I stick to the original gown, I’m wondering if ever I’m going to be happy wearing it.

Great! I can’t help but blame myself. I hope I can make a sound decision.

Exactly 2 Months to Go

Published by nice under Kilig Moments, Wedding

The BIG day is really fast approaching. Yipeeeee! We are so giddy with excitement. I know there are a lot of things to be done but surprisingly I’m not freaking out. Is it because I’m beginning to let go? hahahaha! Anyho, I take it as a good sign that I will not become one bridezilla come our wedding day. I’ve also done a blog make over to celebrate the “Only 2 months to go”. I hope Morning will love the new look.

Last night, I took photos of my accessories. The hairpiece was bought at the bridal fair last March 6. The brooch will be attached at the train of my gown. We were originally looking for faux flowers but we couldn’t find anything to our liking. Then we saw this great looking brooches at Carolina’s. I’ve asked one of the staff to make one according to my specifications.

The Brooch

We are celebrating our 29th Monthsary today. Morning told me that we will go to a special place. I’ve been bugging him for the longest time to give me a clue but he wouldn’t budge. (hahaha! the guy is playing safe now. I can’t blame him for 90% of the time my guess is correct given the first clue. =p )

I Found Him

Published by nice under Kilig Moments

A college friend sent me this email with a wonderful message. I was so amused because the description aptly fits Morning. I’m so kiliiiiiiiig. hahahaha! I’m sharing it below.

Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot,
who calls you back when you hang up on him,
who will stay awake just to watch you sleep.

Wait for the man who kisses your forehead,
who wants to show you off to the world when you are in your sweats,
who holds your hand in front of his friends,
who thinks you’re just as pretty without makeup on.

Wait for the one who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares about you
and how happy he is to have you.
Wait for the one who turns to his friends and says, “…that’s her.”

Invites
Feb 28, 2005

We are so happy with how our invites turned out. Unifair really did a great job. It looks clean and elegant. We got it for 72 bucks each and that includes the main invite, entourage sheet, RSVP card with the map at the back and pearlized monogram at the envelope flap. They even gave us 25 extra envelopes and they assured us that if run short of at most 10 pcs, they are willing to print it for us free. It was really value for our money.

NBC Tent Wedding Expo

We got Celebrations to do our wedding cake. They gave us 20% discount at the expo and their cakes are yummy. We will finalize the design by April.

We also booked Eddie Bruan during the expo. It was nice of him to pencil book me already so that the slot is already reserved even though I haven’t gave him a down payment. Many thanks to all the w@wies who helped me in choosing my MUA. I really had a hard time as I had 3 trials.

We also paid 25% of our contract price to Batis Asul to avail of the free appetizer (Taco Dip and Chips). Problem kasi to dati. Since our church is a bit far to the reception, we are worrying that our guest might be hungry by the time they reach reception. We thought of adding appetizer to our menu but that will be an additional 67 bucks per head. Which translates to 10,500 more to our original budget. We cannot afford to add that amount yet we would like to have appetizers for our guests. I told Clarice about it and she was able to negotiate with Batis. Sir Jun agreed to let us have free appetizers if we pay them at the wedding expo. When we met at their booth, he just told me to pay the amount that we can afford. We agreed to pay 25% of the contract price. I soooooo love Clarice and Sir Jun.

We also saw some elegant looking hairpieces. I got 3 and they gave me 10% discount. It is made of pearl and swarovski crystal. Eddie saw it and said it will go well with the updo that he is going to do.

Florist & Wedding Program
March 14, 2005

Clarice arranged us to meet Mang Boy to discuss the details of our wedding. We brought the swatches as well as pictures of the church and reception venue. Ideally, we would like Mang Boy to do an ocular. However, he doesn’t have much time so we just brought pictures so that he has an idea. He revised the contract because we are now having the ceremony and reception in two different places and we added some items. He asked for an additional 5k but Morning and I are only prepared to pay 1K extra. It was really great that Clarice was able to haggle and they finally agreed to the 1K extra. Whew! We also would like to request for mock up but Mang Boy assured us that it is not needed. I don’t want to argue so I just consented.

After that we went to McDo to discuss our wedding program with Clarice. She really has some brilliant ideas. We revised the original program and she promised to send us the amended program soon.

We went to Divisoria to buy candles for our luminaries, scent and gift wrappers. It has been a fruitful day and we did all that in the morning. I was able to go to work in the afternoon. Hataw!!!!

Prenups

Published by nice under Wedding

We had our prenups at Tagaytay last Sunday. We started early because we scheduled a trial make up with Eddie Bruan at 6 am. It was so nice of Morning to accompany me. He picked me up and we headed to the salon. Good thing that it was easy to find.

After the trial, we attended our meeting at the Kingdom Hall. A lot of our friends are surprised to see me made up. hahaha! It was quite embarrassing but we do not have any choice. We kidded most of them that we came from the City Hall and got married. hahaha!

We had lunch at our house after and off we went to Tagaytay. At first we were disappointed as we hope to have the prenups at Tagaytay highlands. Since our schedule fell on a long weekend, the management denied our request. Nonetheless, we found alternatives that are picturesque as well. First stop was the Residence Inn. It was difficult to pose and take pictures as there are people all around the place. If not for Archie, Morning and I will be uncomfortable during the shoot. We left the place at around 5 pm and transferred to Nature Discovery Camp. It has a very great view of the Taal. I think it is here that we had great shots. (Konti lang kasi ang tao) hehehe

We never thought that pictorials can be so much fun. By the end of the day, we were both tired but our hearts were filled with so much fun and excitement.

We were able to get the cd from Archie yesterday. As we look at it, we can’t help but to thank God as we made the right choice. Archie is really good and we are confident that our wedding pictures will be beautiful.
