04.11.05 – First Fitting: It’s a Miracle!!!
This is a very busy week for me as our boss from Hong Kong is here. He arrived around lunchtime and we had lunch with him at Italliani’s in Greenbelt. As usual we talked about some issues at work and his whole week agenda.
Cecil sent me an SMS message around 6 pm saying that he is really excited that I fit my gown. He said that it turned out prettier than he expected. I was like OMG!!!! He had finished it way ahead of schedule. He had finished it in less than 2 weeks. I asked h2b and my sister to accompany me to his shop.
My reaction??? Well, I posted it at the w@w e-group but for my blog documentary purposes, I’m posting it here.
I have to share this one because I’m soooooooo happy with how my gown turned out. Cecil Abad is a real miracle worker. Grabeeeeee talaga! Most of you have seen the old gown na hindi ko type di ba? I thought hindi na talaga magagawan ng paraan or kung meron man hindi na ganun ka-bonggacious. Boy I was wrong! Galing talaga ni Cecil, super creative. He was able to make my gown na parang gown ng mga princess. hehehehe. I can’t believe what I saw. Ang ganda talaga. Pati yung sister ko napa-wow! Kitang-kita na yung lace and beads. Hindi na kasi sha full lace. Nag-insert si Cecil ng organza sa first hip going down. So alternate yung lace saka yung plain organza. Talagang mega tawad kasi ako kay Cecil and he gave me a very reasonable price. Saka feeling ko kaya nya tinanggap yung akin kasi na-challenge sha na pagandahin and at the same time naawa sha talaga kasi harassed talaga ako nung nagpunta ako sa kanya. At grabe, natapos nya in less than 2 weeks. O di ba? Winner talaga.
God is really good and I thank him for sending an angel in Cecil. Thankful din ako sa lahat ng mga w@wies na nagbigay ng advice and support all throughout this dilemma. This e-group is truly heaven sent. Kaya more power to Mama Benz and Papa John! =)
Last night, I was able to sleep with a smile plastered on my face. Cinderella has found her fairy godmother. Fairytales do come true and it can happen to you. (hehehehe)

I purposely didn’t include any pictures to surprise everyone. Ahehehe! Am I mean or what? :p
04.12.05 - Date Time!!!!
Yipeeee Tuesday is bonding time for me and h2b. This is the only day of the week when he picks me up from the office and spent quality time with each other. We had some time looking at the w@w emails and discuss our wedding preps. After dinner, he helped me pack our souvenirs. I’m so thankful that he is so into our preparations. =)
04.13.05 – Team Dinner and Inuman at Eastwood Libis
During lunch break, Debbie and I went to Glorietta to buy our boss a gift. We thought of buying him a towel with #15 embroidered but we ended up buying him boxer shorts. WAHAHAHA! Oh boy, are we naughty or what???? We went to Something Fishy in Libis for dinner. We had their sisig, grilled tuna belly, sinigang, crispy pata, and sweet & spicy squid (I’m not sure if this is really the name. I didn’t like it kasi). I ate way too much. So long diet. I’ll just start again next week. Hehehehe After dinner we went to Guellios (not sure of the spelling) to drink. I didn’t get to drink much because of the work the following day. Everyone had fun that night. I was home at around 2 am.

04.14.05 – QA Team Lunch with Vincent
We had lunch with Vincent at Banana Leaf and Curry House. We loved the food and had a nice talk on the things that we will be doing on the team in the coming months.
04.l5.05 – Ordinary Day
We gave the gift (boxer shorts) to our boss. Actually, we didn’t have the face to give it to him directly so Debbie and I just left the package on his table. When he returned and saw the gift, we heard him laughing. Hahahaha! Good thing that he is not married or else his wife will certainly kill us.
He left after lunch while the heavy rain is pouring. Poor guy!
After work, I joined the volunteer work and was home by 8 p.m. I got to see Morning for 20 minutes and we’ve discussed our things to do for the weekend. As soon as he left, Ivy and I started packing the souvenirs. We’ve finished quite a lot.
04.16.05 – The Groom Finally Went on His Barong Hunt
Finally, Morning was able to buy cloth for his Barong in Divisoria. The tailor also was able to get his measurements and they said that it would be ready by next week. Hmmmmmm! I can now imagine how dashing Morning will look on our wedding day. I can hardly wait. =)
Morning, my sisters and me had dinner together at Chowking in Waltermart. Morning and I had noodles for we are on a diet. After that, we went to the grocery to buy some stuff needed in the house.
We all slept late that night (1 am) for we finished the invites and packing of the souvenirs. (We ran out of ribbons for the invites. It was only today that we we’re able to buy the additional ribbons) Thanks to Morning, to my sisters Ivy and Noreen for helping me out. You guys are the greatest!!!!

04.17.05 – Celebrations Cake, Bookmark & Luminaries
We met Irma Yu of Celebrations Cake today. We talked about our cake design. I brought along a picture of the cake that we want as an inspiration. Here it is:

We particularly like the bottom part and most of all it fits our calla lily theme. She modified it a bit. Instead of square layers, she made it circle and the topper would be in upright position. Unlike in the one in the picture where in the bunch of flowers are diagonally lying on top. Irma said that she would get in touch with Mang Boy for the flowers. I’ll hear from them next week.
The most exciting part for Morning is the cake tasting. There are so many flavors to choose from: mocha, lemon, vanilla, strawberry, pandan, ube, and strawberry. The top 3 I like are: lemon, mocha and strawberry. Morning like strawberry the best so we chose that as our cake flavor. =)
I like Irma and I’m at ease dealing with her. Maybe because she is OC and creative. I’m glad we got them at the fair.
When we got home, we started to work on our bookmarks for the ceremony. We have an opening song where all guests are required to sing. So, we provided the lyrics in bookmark form. We are so happy to incorporate our monogram and calla lilies in the design. Here is the finished product:

Morning & I have also decided on our luminaries design. We will put sand on the bottom part to keep the candles stable and we will put ribbons on the mouth of the bottle. I’m sure that it will look great around the pool. =)

I thank God that Morning and my sisters are so into the wedding preparations. It made my life a whole lot easier and not to mention fun. =) We are also very happy to have accomplished many things this week. Aja Aja Fighting!!!!

MAI: Soulful Mood is more of strings. Pero they have a lot of instruments to choose from. Meron pa ngang sax. They do have singers too. You loved them because of their reasonable rates and good performance. You can see them play at Rockwell almost every day.
