They’re finally OUT!
We are very happy to announce that B.boy’s 2 upper front teeth are now out. And as promised i made that congee with chicken bits. We bought some chicken giniling and chicken breast at the supermarket. I boiled the chicken breast with onions, carrots and celery. The breast was used for our chop suey while the broth is for our little boy’s congee. I washed a little bit of rice and on the 3rd wash, the broth was added. The chicken giniling was added next. Continue stirring until the rice is soft. Put the mixture in the blender and puree until smooth consistency is achieved.
Our little boy loved it! The broth is very flavorful because of the added spices and vegetable. I made sure to add a little flavor as i don’t put salt or sugar in his food (I’ve read that it is not healthy for babies). Anyway, it makes my heart swell with happiness whenever he loves the food that I prepare.
M0rn1ng and I would want him to try different tastes and textures so each week, we think of new food that he hasn’t tried yet. Last week it was avocado, grapes, and chico. He loved the former and hate the latter. Maybe because chico’s texture is a bit rough and sandy. This week he has tasted chicken and ripe mangoes and loved them both. I will give him so fish later this week.
I think he is enjoying solids. His daddy has had fun time feeding him. I am really happy for this because before, feeding has been between me and B.boy alone. Now, he has the chance to experience this bonding moment with his son as well. In fact M0rn1ng is better in feeding solids than me. When he’s doing it our little boy eats a lot and it’s not even messy. Pag ako…ang gulo-gulo and ang kalat. ![]()
