Love at First Sight
No, it wasn’t love at first sight when I met M0rn1ng 8 years ago. His name even slipped my memory. He is good looking and charming but at that time romantic relationships don’t interest me. We met a couple of times over the following years but nothing culminated. We were just plain “hi and hello”. After 4 years, we finally got the chance to get to know each other better. It all started with text messages followed by his visits to our boarding house then me agreeing to have a date. As I slowly got to know him, the feelings got deeper and deeper. Until 2 years ago, I was certain that life would be empty without him in it. Now that we’re married, I’m still discovering more and more reasons to love him. You see, it is LOVE that blossoms through the passage of time and I’m hooked for life.
No, it wasn’t love at fist sight when our little one first said “hello” either. As the 2 lines in the pregnancy test kit becomes more visible, I felt ambivalent. The pregnancy was not planned so it took me by surprise. Don’t get me wrong, the little fellow was wanted but at that time my feelings for him was not that strong. As months pass by, my affection for him grew. I can still recall how I cried with happiness when we first saw him through ultrasound. He was just pea size but very active. Then came his first kicks, as if trying to say “hello mommy”. By then, I am sure thay I love this little fellow for he occupies most of my waking thoughts. I couldn’t forget how ecstatic I am to hold him in my arms the day he was born. The affections got deeper and deeper as I take care and play with him everyday. You see, it is LOVE that blossoms through the passage of time and I’m hooked for life.

thanks! saw it already. It looks wonderful.
uy timing. i was watching House kagabi and i remembered one thing that one of the characters said, parang ganito:
guy1: how long have you been married to your wife?
guy2: 12 years, and i still love her like the day i married her.
guy1: no, you should love her more. because the longer you are together, the more reasons you can find to love her.
and i agree. some people say that being together for so long makes a marriage static. pero i, too, believe that love grows.
as yours do.
