B.boy has recently discovered the joys of dancing. :) He protests whenever the music comes to a halt and we have to re-play it over and over again. Watch his dance routine. I’m sure you will love it tita Mons. ;)

March: A Busy Month

This has been the busiest month for the year for me and the whole family. I’ve got a lot to write here but have little time to do so. I haven’t been able to blog as much as i wanted to because of too much activity.

So what’s keeping us busy? Well, Morning and I have applied for auxilliary pioneer service for this month.   :-)  My boss was also here for the first 2 weeks of the month and that translates to more work than the usual. I also have a lot of projects and conference calls. Yaya went home to attend her son’s graduation and she is gone for a week so there is no househelp available. We are trying our best to keep the household running. Morning and I are taking turns in taking care of B.boy and doing household chores. Great thing that we have family to help. My sisters and inlaws are lending a hand to keep us afloat.  :)
I can’t wait for April and the promise of the much awaited vacations. We deserve it for passing the busiest month with flying colors.

We hit the 1 year mark!

Kudos to us for we had a full year of successful breastfeeding!  :) We never thought that we could reach this far but we did.

The past 3 weeks had been exceptionally hard. I had a flu for 2 days and it somehow affected the let-down reflex. No matter how i pump i can only get a trickle. As a result my breast was engorged. What made matters worse is that i was too weak to hold B.boy and feed him directly. Haaaay! It was too frustrating. We feared that the milk supply would dry up.

A couple of days after i got well, i still don’t have enough supply. Before i could get at least 6 ozs per pumping session, now i get only 2 ozs. I took Natalac 3x day and decreased my pumping interval. It was only this week that the supply went back to normal.

We are happy to still continue breastfeeding past the 1 year. As for weaning, i don’t think it will come any time soon. Mommy, Daddy and B.boy are not yet ready to give up at this point.  :)

Our B.boy turns 1 today

Yup, it has been a year. Time really flew so fast. He’s now very big and healthy compared to when he was born. We think he will be able to walk on his own soon. He has been trying and he can succesfully make 4-6 steps without being held.

Haaaay! Hindi na sha baby.  :( He also knows to express himself too. He calls me mommy which is really music to my ears. They also told me that he cries whenever he sees my picture and i’m at the office. Oh the poor dear, he must be missing his mommy.

Though today’s his birthday, we are not celebrating. Click here and read item #4 if you’re interested to know why.
