Busy Day and Yaya Concerns

I hadn’t been able to blog a lot today.  I’m finishing my assigned project and just a few more polishing and i might be able to submit it tomorrow.  I’m so excited and i hope my boss will be proud of what i did.  I also got tired of my old blog theme so i changed it.  Tada!  How do you like it?  :)

M0rn1ng and B.boy went to my inlaw’s house today so my new yaya was left at our home the whole day.  Ayaw ko sana.  I have a feeling she’s using the phone excessively.  Why, well…

  1. Our prepaid phone load lasted for only a week.  Previously, we are able to stretch it until a month.  There was nobody using the phone at home so i know she used it.
  2. Yesterday i was calling home from the office and the line was busy.  After around 30 mins i called again and she answered, asked her where M0rn1ng is and she told me he is sleeping.  B.boy’s asleep too and there’s nobody else in the house so i assume she was using the phone previously.
  3. My sisters told me that they saw her using the phone at midnight when they went down to get some water to drink.  I also notice that she looks ‘puyat’ most of the time.  I don’t know if she’s really using the phone at night because we are upstairs on our room.
  4. M0rn1ng called today and as expected nabawasan na naman ang load ng phone.

I already talked to her on proper phone’s proper usage.  I told her not to make outgoing calls kasi mababawasan yung load namin.  I think i need to talk to her again and lay some ground rules.  First, i don’t want her receiving calls at the middle of the night.  Secondly, sleeping late affects her wake up time.

Problem is how do i bring this up?  Have you ever been in a situation like this before?  How did you deal with it?

Owning a Home

My sister in law and her husband is planning to buy a house in California.  Since they are paying a lot in renting a space that they don’t own, they’ve decided to add a little so that they can have a place of their own.  They’ve already talked to several brokers and they are also looking at California mortgage refinance.  I hope they find the perfect nest to nurture their future babies soon.  :)

Water

Are you buying drinking water from water stations?  We do because tap water is not safe to drink anymore.  Water contaminated with bacteria and viruses can cause us to be sick so better be safe than sorry.  Due to the high demand however, these water stations has been charging a lot.  We consume 2 5 gallons each day and it costs 60 pesos.  That translates to 1800 pesos a month just for mineral water.

So recently i’m thinking of buying a water filter that we can install in our home.  What i need specifically are Portable Water Filters that we can carry everywhere we go. This is most convenient whenever we go home in Ilocos. There are no water stations in the area and i don’t think the water in the deep well is suitable to drink.

Simultaneous Breastfeeding

My online friend Joyce sent me the following invitation yesterday:

” Hi! Want to be part of the Aug 1 & 8, both 10 am, Breastfeeding events (celebration of breastfeeding week & synchronized breastfeeding) at Malacanang?  Please text 09166363593 or email Pam Magallon with complete names of each attendee and your email add at pam@bosombuddy.org. thanks!”

According to this site, simultaneous breastfeeding started out as a protest that mothers resort to when they are admonished not to breastfeed in public. The act’s popularity rose to become a form of celebration during occasions like the World Breastfeeding Week.

Let’s be there and advocate that breastfeeding is best for babies.  :)
