Maternity Wear

c-3421462-r-1.jpgThree of my workmates are pregnant, talk about baby boom. Since their tummies are getting bigger, they often complain that it is difficult to find something to wear. I told them that being pregnant is not an excuse for sloppy dressing. There are a lot of hip maternity clothes out there. Some of the designs are really nice and stylish. I’ve forwarded them a nice website called kikifashions.com. They’ve got a good line of short sleeves, tank tops, bottoms, dresses and skirts. There are also some items that are on sale. I specifically love the red dress here. Unbelievably! It only costs $30.

I’m sure pregnant women would love this site.    :)

Sister Act

Published by nice under Family

I have two siblings, both of them are girls. When I was a kid, I hoped to have a baby brother but all I got were sisters. Mom delivered us all through C-section so she has to stop after 3 kids. But having sisters is blast. We’re all very close and we treat each other as friends. We can talk about everything and anything and borrow each other stuff. When they went into college and has to stay in Manila, they stayed with me. We rented a small apartment and we stayed together even after I got married. They loved M0rn1ng and vice versa so there are no problems living in one roof.

I don’t know until when we will stay together as I know there will come a time that they might find somebody or may work somewhere else. I know I will miss them terribly because they’ve been a part of my everyday life.

Recently, my second sister was assigned to work in Denmark. She stayed there for almost a year and we missed her terribly. She decided not to go back anymore this year but was assigned there again 2 months ago.

We’re happy that she’s coming back tomorrow and she said that this is now for good. Their project is finished so she’ll be working in Manila again. We look forward to seeing her tomorrow. We missed you sis!

Loving Mommyhood

Published by nice under Andre Miguel, Mommy Talks

It was a rainy morning today and since it’s a Saturday, I have reason so stay linger in bed. I looked at our little boy and wonder at how fast they grow. A few months ago, he was such a small baby. He was born a few weeks early so he was only 6lbs when he came out. All the baby clothes we bought him are loose. We usually swaddle him because he is comfortable that way and when it’s not too hot, I carry him in a sling. But look at him now…all grown up and so big. He is even too heavy for me to carry. I’m starting to miss my baby. Hahaha! But I’m glad that I’ve spent lots of time with him when he was little. Breastfeeding really forges a strong bond between mother and child. Even if I have to work at the office, B.boy is closer to me than anyone else.

I guess that is my award for taking care of him whenever I’m home, nursing him at night and taking good care of him when he’s sick.

I love being a mom.

Another Proud Moment

Published by nice under Andre Miguel, Mommy Talks

dsc01320.JPGMeet B.boy latest favorite toy. Yup, it’s a shape sorter. Last December when we went to Ilocos, Mama gave him my old shape sorter. I had it when I was 3 years old and mama thought it appropriate to give it to my son as a pamana. As expected it is a bit worn out and the garter than holds the 2 red and blue pieces is busted. Anyway, we used that to teach shapes to our little boy. Seeing how much that interests him, his lola bought him a new one.

dsc01317.JPGAt 18 months, B.boy knows about shapes. He can put the shapes in the appropriate hole in the shape sorter. We didn’t expect he can absorb things that quickly but he did. He knows circle, diamond, square, triangle, star and all of 10 shapes in the sorter.  Just look at him on this photo, take note nakakunot lagi yang noo nya pag nag-iisip.  hahaha!

And oh, he has another toy which teaches shapes.  He loves that too but i’ll make a separate post for it.   :)

M0rn1ng and I can’t help but be proud of our little boy.

Helping our HR Head

Published by nice under Blogging Benefits, Office Tales

Our HR head is relocating to our San Francisco office. We are all thrilled because it is a whole new opportunity opening up for her. She’s been with the company for more than 10 years and she’s doing a great job. She truly deserves this new post. And I know she will also excel in her new field.

She will be leaving in a few months so she is preparing. She’s looking for San Francisco Apartments where she and her family could stay. I saw sanfrancisco.apartmentfinder.com and I think the site will be pretty helpful. It has faceted browsing, map based search, and search by keywords. That way she can get something which is relatively near to the office. The results also show photos, tours and floor plans. I’ve sent the url link to her and I hope she finds it useful.

We will miss her terribly but we are wishing her the best as she embarks on a new journey.

47 Months @ Rai Rai Ken

Published by nice under Food and Restos, Kilig Moments

We celebrated our 47th monthsary last Sunday at Rai-Rai Ken in MOA. I was craving for sashimi and maki so we decided to go there. Actually, I would like to eat at Tempura but hubby wanted to try something we haven’t tried before.

The walls are adorned with these yummy pictures.

B.boy is trying the chopsticks while waiting for our food.

dsc01297.JPG

We ordered Tuna Sashimi @ 90 bucks

dsc01300.JPG

California Maki @ 120 bucks

dsc01301.JPG

Gyu Tendon @175

dsc01303.JPG

And Rai Rai Ken Bento @229.  (sorry got no pictures.  M0rn1ng was busy munching away when i remembered to take a photo)

Since we have an SM Advantage card, they gave us a free Gyoza and 5% off on our total purchase. If we paid in cash it could have been 10% but 5 is good enough nonetheless.

We enjoyed our dining experience so my rating for this resto is ***/*****.

Anniv Gift

Published by nice under Blogging Benefits, M0rn1ng

Our anniversary is a few weeks away and I am looking for a nice gift for hubby.  I saw this digital frame and thought that he might love this.  It displays the pictures directly from a camera’s memory card and can be shown as slideshow complete with music.  This is a nice way to show others the many photos we take everyday.

I’m sure he will appreciate this as he loves gadgets.  :)

I’m Number 7, Jaworski?

Published by nice under My Thoughts

I saw this from Yen’s blog and i thought, hey this is cool to try myself.

You Are 7: The Enthusiast

You are outgoing and playful - always seeing the happy side to life.

You’re enthusiastic and excitable. You love anything new.Multi-talented, you do many things well… and find success easy.

You prefer to keep things light with others. Opening up is hard for you.

At Your Best: You are deeply involved in each experience. You appreciate life for what it is, and you take the time to enjoy each moment.

At Your Worst: You are greedy, self centered, impulsive, and insatiable.

Your Fixation: Gluttony

Your Primary Fear: Deprivation and pain

Your Primary Desire: To be satisfied and content

Other Number 7’s: Howard Stern, Cameron Diaz, Robin Williams, Jim Carey, and Jenny Mccarthy.

What Number Are You?

I think it’s pretty accurate and i have to laugh on the “Your Fixation” part. Gluttony! ha?! Okay, i admit that i eat a lot especially when i’m stressed out. Must be the reason why i had heartburn. And i fear pain…that’s true. I don’t care if i die but just don’t let it be painful.

Looking for Radiators

Published by nice under Blogging Benefits, Internet

My officemate’s car had overheated and his mechanic told him that his radiator needs replacement. The thing is the replacement offered is a bit expensive so he is looking for other options. He is looking for a Honda Radiator. He is canvassing if it is cheaper to get what his mechanic offered or buy it from someone else.

I’ve seen a good website for this. It is Radiator.com. They offer reasonable rates with a satisfaction guaranteed lifetime warranty. I personally think this is great as who want to buy cheap things which will conk eventually. They also claim that they deliver in timely fashion this is great as my officemate is really in need to have his car up and running.

I’ll let him know about this as this may help him big time.

Banchetta

Published by nice under Family, Food and Restos

We’re attending youngest sister’s function tomorrow evening. This is her last function as she is graduating next year. We are so excited!  :)  The function name is Banchetta which means banquet in English. According to sis it is a celebration of the Grand European Cuisine.

Below is their invite. It looks elegant right?

Perfect Gift for a Mechanic

My best friend and her husband are venturing into a mechanic shop business. They are going to team up with another brother from the congregation who used to work for Toyota. I’m so happy for them and I wish them all the best.

Best friend’s husband is such a handyman and he has a lot of tools. Same with his would be partner. I guess the best gift that I could give them is a tool storage. I’m sure they will be thrilled!

Today is a Good Day

Published by nice under My Thoughts, Office Tales

Hong Kong is on a holiday today. This means Boss is not going to work. Yipeeeee! I’m jumping up and down for joy.   :)  No one will bother me today. No one will call, email or YM me to do this and do that. Hahaha! Boss is workaholic and it drives me a bit crazy as he always asks me to do a lot of things. He sometimes calls my mobile even if I’m on sick leave.

But don’t get me wrong, I like him as boss. I’ve learned a lot from him and I can see that he appreciates what I do. It’s just that too much work overwhelms me at times. So today is a welcomed change. I can work and blog in peace. Hahaha!

Coin Collection

copy-of-p1010008.JPGM0rn1ng and I love collecting coins especially if it is 10 peso coins. Whenever we see one it automatically goes in our piggy bank. Once full, that piggy bank can yield up to 10,000 bucks. It takes us a year to fill it to the brim and harvesting it is such a joy.

I’ve read that rare coin collection is also a good investment. Monex companies help investors invest in rare coins, gold, silver, platinum bullion and bullion coins. They help in finding the finest rare coins available that would suit the client’s budget. Having them to help out can get you the most of your money as you are assured of a good buy.

This makes me really think deeply to have rare coins as collection and investment too.
