Let’s Talk About Flowers

Published by nice under Kilig Moments, M0rn1ng, My Thoughts

This is what I got aside from the very pleasant anniversary gift last week.

dsc01521.JPG

It was a surprise as M0rn1ng rarely gives flowers. Would you believe na never ako naktanggap ng flowers nung nanliligaw pa lang sha? Hahaha! But he never fails to give chocolates naman so I’m not complaining. :)

I received my first bouquet of flowers on our first anniversary as a couple. Here it is:

janice0029.jpg

The second one was when he proposed. The engagement ring box was hidden inside the bouquet.

The third one was when I was 8 months pregnant. I felt so ugly and had a little bit of baby blues. He surprised me with a bouquet of red roses to cheer me up. He left this at the office and I was happy to see it at my desk when I came in to work.

There…so after 5 years of being together I only receive a total of 4 bouquets. Pero I was given countless of chocolate boxes na. Ok na yun, I can’t ask for anything else.  :)

Panwich Bag

This is one of the bags I carry when I go to work. I have another bag which carries the things I need at work and another one with my pumps and bottles inside. This blue thermal bag is for the panwiches. I love it because it’s roomy and can contain up to 30 panwiches. Since it is a thermal bag it keeps the bread warm until I get here in the office.

Disney World Discount Tickets

Published by nice under Blogging Benefits, Travel

If there’s one place that I would like to visit in the US, then that will be Florida. Why? It’s because of Disney, Sea World, Universal Studios and Kennedy Space Center. Since I want to visit Orlando so much, I’ve been always browsing the web about this. I found out where to best buy Disney World Tickets. Orlandofuntickets.com is the ultimate source for discount tickets for Disney World and all Orlando theme parks, dinner shows and attractions. They guarantee that they’ve got the lowest prices on all discount Disney tickets.

They even have discount tickets for other big theme parks that I like. They’ve got Sea World tickets, Kennedy Space Center tickets and Universal Studios tickets. I’m so glad I found this very useful site.

Trim Down

Published by nice under Blogging Benefits, Health

Liposuction is becoming a very popular way to trim down and look sexy. There are a lot of medical groups that are offering this service even in our country. Actresses boldly and openly admit that they have undergone the procedure and flaunt their sexy bodies.

So how do you feel about liposuction? I’ve read that while labeled “safe and effective” by some authorities, persons submitting to liposuction run the risk of severe depletion of body fluids, blood clots, massive infection, internal structural injury and death. Reports show that 11 deaths have been attributed to this procedure since it came to the US from France six year ago.

My take is liposuction is a very personal decision and a person should seriously consider both the pros and cons before undergoing the procedure. Here is a very good reading resource for Liposuction UK

Banking this last day of Oct

I just got back from the bank and as expected there are a lot of people. There will be a long weekend coming up and everyone needs to finish their transactions. It took me 45 minutes to line up and be served. I hope BPI could just implement a numbering system instead of having physical long and winding queues. This will really save me time as I can go back at my desk and work and come back later instead of waiting in the line and doing nothing. You see the bank is just at the ground floor of our office building and I regularly go there to pay our apartment rental.

The good thing is, our company transferred our payroll to BPI and starting next month we will receive our salary there. Now all I have to do is enroll our landlord’s account so that I can pay via BPI express online. However, there’s bad news too. I was informed that Citibank is not part of their merchants so I can’t pay online. That’s a lot of hassle because previously I pay everything via bancnetonline. No lines and no long idle wait. I can do it even at home. I don’t miss any payments. I even enrolled every bill that I could pay through Citibank so that I will only pay one merchant online. Now that’s my problem since BPI doesn’t support Citibank. Waaaaaah! I have to withdraw and pay through LBC.

I’m going to miss Bancnet. Any bright tips out there?

Beach Weddings

Published by nice under Blogging Benefits, Wedding

If money was not a problem during our wedding, then I would opt to have destination weddings. It would be a beach wedding in Bohol or Palawan and our exchange of vows will coincide the sunset. How romantic!

For those considering beach weddings and have budget for it why not hold it in Mexico? It is one of the most romantic places in the world and Riviera Maya is also ideal for honeymoon. So with this you’re hitting two birds with one stone. They have upscale beachfront properties that were created with newlyweds, honeymooners and romantic couples in mind. And to unease you of planning the wedding they offer local wedding coordinators which will help you with the legwork.

I found some Bargains

Published by nice under Bargains, shopping

19387330.jpgYep, I found some good buys yesterday when we went to SM Mall of Asia. First off, Bayo is having a sale. I was able to buy a very nice striped orange knitted blouse at 50% off. Oh they have a lot of items half of its original price. Wala lang kasi sa budget so I only got to buy one.

Then we went to Book Sale and we found the book What to Expect the Toddler Years. It’s selling at 345 bucks while at National Bookstore it is pegged at almost 900. It still looks brand new so we’re very happy. It discusses toddler’s stage starting 13 months to 36 months.

If you are in a lookout for cheap books try Book Sale.

Meralco Bill

I received our Meralco bill online and I am so happy to say that it is our all time low. I’m only going to pay 2,116.15 for this month. Nagbunga rin yung pagtitipid namin. Since it’s not too hot nowadays, we tried to limit our use of air conditioning. And as suspected it is the largest contributing factors in making our bill soar high.

By the way, have you tried subscribing your Meralco bill through email? It is very convenient as you can see you bills as soon as it’s released. Minsan kasi yung mga messengers nila late sa pag deliver ng bill eh.

Here’s how (Thanks Toni for reminding me to put this info):

Go to www.meralco.com.ph

On the right hand side there is a portion which says “Don’t have an E-Meralco Bill ID?”.  Click the Go button beside it.

A pop up window will appear.  You will need to input the Service ID No, Bill Date and Amout from any of your bills within the past 12 months.

Click Enroll.  It will also ask you to input a username, password and email address.

Once done you will receive your bill through email.  I’ts very convenient i tell you.

Gold Rush

I can still remember the story of California gold rush where around 300,000 people went to seek for gold. Since the beginning gold has been viewed as a good investment. This is because gold bar has a proven ability to diversify investments, protect wealth and preserve one’s purchasing power.

If you’re interested to invest, American eagle gold coins are available in units of 10 one-ounce for personal delivery only. You can view gold price at monex.com. It displays daily prices plus the change from last day’s price. It also displays the price chart so you can monitor the trend.

Monex is one of America’s best dealers of precious metals that offer competitive prices.

Back to Work

Published by nice under Mommy Talks, My Thoughts, Office Tales

After being gone for six long days, I’m back in the daily grind. It feels good to be back. I have a lot of unread emails and I’ve just finished reading them all now. Though I love being at home with B.boy and hubby, I miss being at work too. Now I know that I couldn’t be a stay at home mom at the moment.

I tried blogging at home but I couldn’t concentrate as the little boy is always dragging me away from the computer. He would always say, play or labas. Hahaha! He would go with his yaya but after an hour he will remember mommy again. So I’m not sure of the quality of the posts I made these past few days. Some may have wrong spelling or grammar.

However, I’m not complaining as his clinginess is flattering on my part too. Besides there will come a time that he won’t be needing mommy as much as he needs me now.
