Wedding Planning

When I was planning our wedding, I usually visit TheKnot.com. It has a lot of wedding ideas and tips. Since we have a year to prepare, we have time to do DIY stuff. Take for example our wedding favors, we personalized it by fitting it to our theme and putting transparent stickers bearing our names and wedding date.

For those who don’t have time to prepare or don’t like to do much of the legwork, The Knot Wedding Shop is the best place to go. It has top quality wedding supplies and unique personalized wedding favors. It also has cute cake toppers that can be customized to fit the wedding theme.

I would love to get wedding supplies from them should I be pressed for time.

My Personality Type

I saw this in Nor’s blog and i remembered i took the same test a few years back during our team building.  The result before was i’m an INTJ.  So i was surprised to see that i’m now an ENFJ.  So this means that my perception on my personality varies over time?  Or am i changed by time?  Anyway, read the profile below.  I agree with the bossy part.  Sometimes i could be very bossy.  I guess it’s because i’m the eldest in the family and i was so used to having my way most of the time.  hahaha!  Now you know.  :)

You Are An ENFJ

The GiverYou strive to maintain harmony in relationships, and usually succeed.

Articulate and enthusiastic, you are good at making personal connections.

Sometimes you idealize relationships too much - and end up being let down.

You find the most energy and comfort in social situations … where you shine.

In love, you are very protective and supporting.

However, you do need to “feel special” - and it’s quite easy for you to get jealous.

At work, you are a natural leader. You can help people discover their greatest potential.

You would make a good writer, human resources director, or psychologist.

How you see yourself: Trusting, idealistic, and expressive

When other people don’t get you, they see you as: Bossy, inappropriate, and loud

Baby Slings

I was introduced to baby slings through an e-group for newlyweds. They discussed the benefits of attachment parenting and a sling is a great tool for it. Later on the e-group organized a baby shower because it was a baby boom for the group that year. I think there were more than 20 of us who attended. It was great. We’ve learned a lot about breastfeeding and how to take good photograph of kids. They also have a lot of games and prizes. Here is where I won the baby sling.

It was a great help especially in B.boy early months. He is such a clingy baby. He refuses to be put down and I couldn’t do anything but to fend him. Even going to the washroom or combing my hair is such a hard thing to do. Thanks to the sling, I have free hands to do other things while carrying him. It kept me sane.

I was extremely grateful for having this great tool for free so to express my gratitude; I lent it to a preggy friend. I hope she finds it useful as I do.

Slide

Oftentimes we are surprised with B.boy speed of development. For some skills he can’t do it but just let him try and in a matter of weeks he can do it by himself. This is the reason why we let him try so that he has a venue to practice and try learning the skills.

He can now go up the steps and slide by himself. Morn1ng captured it all in this video. It was taken last week when they went to the playhouse while I did the grocery. He really enjoyed himself climbing up and sliding. Watch it!

He knows how to Pray

We are so happy because B.boy now knows how to pray. He would clasp his hands and bow down his head. He says “meeeen” for amen at the end too. We train him to pray before eating meals and going to sleep. One evening, I nurse him to put him to sleep. In the middle of it he stop and said “daddy pheee” (daddy pray). Yeah, we haven’t said our evening prayers yet and he’s asking his daddy to lead the prayer. Amazing!

Even in our weekly meetings at the Kingdom Hall (place of worship of Jehovah’s Witnesses), he knows when we will pray. He knows that after singing praises to Jehovah, prayer would follow.

I know Jehovah God is as happy as we are. :)

Home Medical

We have a medicine cabinet at home that holds all our home medical supplies. We keep a steady supply of paracetamol, diatabs, neozep, and other first aid medicines in case of emergencies. Sometimes it is a hassle to buy those at the drugstore because of long lines. So it is good if we could buy them online.

In the US, AllegroMedical.com offers a wide range of medical equipments and home health. They have Diabetes Test Strips, Pediasure, Carpal tunnel computer glove, breastfeeding pillows and other nutritional dietary supplements. What’s popular in this website is their free eCatalog that offers serious limited time specials and discounts to anyone who signs up.

Play Like a Child

picture-017.jpgB.boy and I enjoyed playing with the balloon last night. The little boy calls it badung. It’s because he can’t pronounce the letter L properly and most of the time he gives the ‘ung’ sound at the end of some words. Like dadung instead of daddy. But we’re confident that in time he can pronounce the balloon properly because he now says daddy instead of dadung.

Well, back to our play time. We enjoyed tossing the balloon up and he is always chasing. We had a good laugh. :) We got the balloon when we ate at Bubba Gump last Tuesday. It’s funny how simple things can make kids happy.

Playing with B.boy has become my therapy. It’s like I’ve been transported back to childhood where everything is simple and carefree. I get to play like a child again. I hope we can store all these moments and relive each one when days are blue.

Happy weekend everyone!

Good Morning!

I woke up earlier than usual today. That is because I have to do paid opps before it expires. I had 2 from blogitive and it is due is a few hours. Sayang naman kung di magagawa. I rarely get opps from PPP these past months so I really value every paid opps I get.

This will be a busy family day for us. We will join the ministry at 8am then at 10am we will do our weekly grocery. The weather is fine so we can bring B.boy along. I’m just waiting for little boy to wake up and say “morniiiiiiiiin”. Yeah he can say good morning in a very sweet way already. What a way to perk up our day.
