We Are Family

I have a lot of vacation leaves remaining and I’m planning to use it all up by the end of the year. It’s not convertible to cash and can’t be carried over next year either. We want to go to Baguio and experience the cold weather. I can still remember when Papa first brought us there. I think I’m about 9 then. I love it because it seems like we’re no longer in the Philippines. The hotel that we stayed has a very nice fireplace and I was drawn to the warmth and the beauty of the flickering fire.

I’ve read that gas logs on fireplaces have now been replaced by fire glass. The advantage is that it burns cleaner and more efficiently than conventional gas logs. It does not emit toxic fumes either. This is good because I have asthma and smoke is one of my triggers.

I hope we can go there this December. We would also like B.boy to experience riding a horse.
