Mommy Survey

I saw this in Aggie’s blog.  I loved it so i snagged it.  :)  Thanks Aggie.

1. Was your first pregnancy planned? No. We were not planning nor hoping to have one. We would like to continue on our volunteer work on our free time so we’re not keen on having a baby. It was a good surprise though. :)

2. Were you married at the time? Yes. We got pregnant 2 months after the wedding.

3. What were your reactions? Ambivalent. So many questions running on our mind. Are we going to be good parents? Can we care for a child? How are we going to continue our volunteer work?

4. Was abortion an option for you? NO! We love our unborn child though it’s not planned.

5. How old were you? 25

6. How did you find out you were pregnant? It felt different and I knew it even before missing a period.

7. Who did you tell first? I had M0rn1ng buy a tester. We both waited for the results and our eyes grew big when we saw the two lines. Then there’s silence.

8. Did you want to find out the sex? YES. We wanted a girl but surprise surprise, it’s a BOY. God knew we will enjoy a BOY better. We can’t thank him enough.

9. Due date? April 7, 2006! (He was born 4 weeks early though)

10. Did you have morning sickness? Super YES. It’s not confined to mornings alone as I had it the whole day. Migraines added to the discomfort. It was the worst feeling ever.

11. What did you crave? Don’t laugh…it’s daing dipped in spicy vinegar.

12. Who/what irritated you the most? Morn1ng’s smell. Yung amoy ng garlic and ginisa.

13. What was your first child’s sex? BOY

14. Did you wish you had the opposite sex of what you were getting? At first I wanted a girl same as hubby. But, I realized later on that a Boy is better kasi maka-mommy yun. :)

15. How many pounds did you gain throughout the pregnancy? 30 lbs.

16. Did you have a baby shower? NO. So Sad. I gave birth less than a month before the expected due date. My friends are still in middle of planning my shower. Huhuhu

17. Was it a surprise or did you know? They are the one surprised because I gave birth all of a sudden. Hahaha!

18. Did you have any complications during your pregnancy? I had pre-eclampsia on the 36th week of pregnancy. My BP shoot up to 180 and they took the baby out that day.

19. Where did you give birth? Hospital. Makati Medical Center

20. How many hours were you in labor? I DID NOT GO IN LABOR. Hahaha! They just open me up.

21. Who drove you to the hospital? M0rn1ng.

22. Who watched you give birth? NONE! The doc said that I’m in a very delicate condition so they did not allow any bystanders. Hahaha!

23. Was it natural or C-section? C-section. Got no other choice as I’m not even dilated.

24. Did you take medicine to ease the pain? Yes.

25. How much did your child weigh? Only 6 lbs.

26. When was your child actually born? March 15

27. What did you name him/her? Andre Miguel

28. How old is your first born today? 17 months.

A Swing is a Beautiful Thing

A swing a swing is a beautiful thing…that’s the opening line of one of Barney’s song. Don’t laugh, I’m a Barney convert now as B.boy loves that purple dino. :) hahaha! Anyway, our little boy had a grand time at the swing last Sunday. At first we are afraid to let him try alone as he might get out balanced and fall. But we’re impressed! He can balance himself already.
