It’s amazing how days come and go so quickly. Tomorrow’s mid-October and in just a few more weeks 2007 will come to an end. I dread year-ends because I have to do performance appraisals. Sometimes it’s hard to look back and appraise your team’s contributions. Good thing I’ve compiled some monthly notes so doing this exercise won’t be such a drag.

And oh, I have to do my own employee self evaluation too. Since this gives me a headache from the past years, I’ve kept a file containing my accomplishments and contributions. This way, self-evaluation would be easier to do.

I hope this year it would be a breeze.

We had a very nice discussion at the Kingdom Hall today. The topic is about how to train our children the right way. I’ve learned that we must always show love in our dealings with them. Then it further expounds on 1 Corinthians 13’s definition of love. It says that love is long suffering and parents should manifest this quality especially when children are a bit naughty and hard headed. What can help is trying to recall how we were when we are kids. This will prevent us from being bitterly angry on small things.

It also taught me to be kind. We should discipline our kids in a kind manner, never too harsh or never too lax. Let our yes mean yes and no really no. You should be consistent in our discipline so as not to confuse them.

Parents with grown up children will do well if they draw what’s in the heart of their kids. They should encourage them to speak up their minds in a respectful way.

All in all it was really beneficial and I hope M0rn1ng and I can apply it so that we can be good parents to little Andre.

I received an advance anniversary gift yesterday. M0rn1ng gave me a VS lotion. That guy really knows what I want. I love lotions and I can’t live without them. He gave me Strawberries and Champagne and I love the scent. Last time he gave me Enchanted Apple and I loved that too.

He told me that he’s going to give me another gift but he’s not telling me what at the moment. He said that it’s going to be a surprise. Well, it’s okay because I love surprises. Who knows he might be giving me a very nice piece of jewelry. Hahaha! Let’s just wait and see.

Which reminds me that i haven’t bought his gift yet.  I have a very nice idea on what to give.  I’m pretty sure he will love it.  I’m not spilling the beans here as he visits this blog once in a while.
