How to have MORE TIME?
I think mommies are the busiest people in the earth. Whether they are stay at home or working moms their hands are always full. Have you ever complain that you don’t have enough time to finish everything? I do most of the time. We are all given 24 hours a day so it is best to make use of our time wisely. That means not only working hard but working smart too.
How is that? I’ve read one article that suggests using the Pareto Principle. It was formulated by Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto. It states that only about 20 percent of the causes produce about 80% of the results. So this means that we don’t have to do it all, we simply have to do those that will yield the maximum results and we’re good.
It also says that we need to analyze a project before diving in. How much of it is truly important to my objective? What part of the job will produce the most significant results? Then that portion will be the task priority.
I’m trying to apply this at home. I can’t do everything because if I do, I might get crazy. So, I try to do those high impact things like caring for B.boy when I get home. Feeding him at dinnertime, cleaning him and putting him in his PJs, playing and reading him are my task. The rest, I delegate it to the helper. I get the most results as I have bonding moment with my son after a long day at work. Spending time with him produces significant results than having the dishes done.
I’m also trying to do that at work. I’ll try to do the significant part then the rest can be delegated to someone else. Then I’ll have free time to blog. Hahaha!

i agree moms talaga busiest persons sa mundo kahit SAHM or working mom. grabe pag wala kaming househelp parang maloka-loka ako sa dami ng kelangan gawin. kaya ngayong may househelp kami lahat dinelegate ko sa kanya, except pag-alaga kay dwyn.

ay ganyan din ako Ann. Yung pag-alaga di ko dine-delegate as long as nasa bahay ako.
I think our kids need TLC from their moms lang. hehehe.

I couldn’t agree more JennyR. Super di natatapos ang work nating mga moms.
Buti na lang may pakunswelo from our hubbies and kids. Kiss lang eh nakakatanggal na ng pagod.

yeah Caryl. Mahirap ata magkaroon ng househelp abroad. Mahirap nga pag sayo lahat ng work.
I think we all deserve a mommy break.
