Dreaming of Disneyland

I’d love to go on a vacation outside the country next year. I just hope my earnings from paid blogging will be sufficient to fund the trip. We haven’t been outside the country as a family so I’m pretty excited to plan a trip. Hong Kong is my ideal destination but I’m not sure if B.boy will ever recall it if he goes there this early. But I’m sure he’ll enjoy Disneyland because he loves Mickey Mouse and he plays with that stuffed toy whenever he’s at his lola’s house.

I also want to visit the Peak and Ocean Park. Of course, I would also want to do some shopping at the side too. I just hope we have enough money for that. Hahaha! Or maybe I should schedule our vacation during their Sale.

When planning trips, I usually visit Hotel Reservations. They have a lot of offerings, from hotels, motels, resorts, and vacation rentals. They also have vacation packages that can take care of your flights, hotel and car rentals. The site is easy to use. It has comprehensive searches that give out relevant results in seconds.

I’ve searched Hong Kong and there were special value that offers as low as $83 on hotel accommodation. I checked the hotel pictures and it looks fine. Anyway, we don’t need a very posh hotel as we will be out exploring the place most of the time. We just need a place to sleep and rest. I just need to check if the hotel location is accessible to public transport.

I also checked some airfare on the site. The lowest I found was $227 for one round trip ticket. The airline is Philippine Airlines. I guess this is a good deal already. I just need to earn the money to fund the trip. That means be more diligent in blogging.

Who knows, this planned trip might really push through.  Let’s wait and see….

Celebrating 5 Years @ Antonio’s Tagaytay

We celebrated our 5th year anniversary at Antonio’s Tagaytay yesterday. The place really lived up to our expectations.

Here’s the entrance…

And the view inside is really charming.

This is our view from the terrace dining area.

We also loved the Koi Pond. The water is soo clear and the fishes are brightly colored.

And as expected, the food was really great. We ordered their set menu. You can choose one entree and the price includes the salad, soup, coffee or tea and dessert. I ordered a great tasting dalandan juice for my drinks. It tastes really fresh! I never had a good dalandan juice like that before.  By the way, it is refillable.

Here’s our salad that comes with bruschetta.

The Potato Onion Soup was very flavorful and creamy.

Now for the main entree, M0rn1ng had this Crispy Deboned Lamb Ribs on Garlic Egg Noodles with Hoisin Sauce. It was yummy.

I had this mouthwatering Grilled Chillean Sea Bass Set on Truffle Mashed Potato with Salad Relish.

And for dessert, i had panna cotta and M0rn1ng had mint chocolate parfait.

We we’re so full that we felt sleepy after the meal.  It was bed weather yesterday…and conducive for hugging moments too.

We went straight back home after lunch because we left B.boy with his lolo and lola.  We had fun with our date and i hope maulit muli.  Happy 5 years to US.  :)

Key Man Insurance

A lot of companies firmly believe that their employees are their most valuable asset. I’m glad that the company that I’m working for holds that same ideal. This is the reason why we get optimal training to hone our work skills. For this year alone I got 4 needed trainings for my job function.

In one of our management trainings, it has been discussed that a lot of companies get key man insurance. Companies insure a key employee against death or incapacitation. Key men may be an executive, prinicipal shareholder, or anybody who has a large impact to the company.
