Nearing Payday

It’s that time of the month once again. We’re nearing payday it always happens that we’re short on cash. I’m sure a lot of people can relate as I had a chat with one of the food cart owners in our canteen and he said that his sales are usually low when it’s nearing the payday period. It means for most people nearing payday spells short on funds.

What if somebody in the family gets sick? Where do we get the money for medicines and even hospitalization? A lot will approach their relatives or friends to borrow some amount. But some are embarrassed to do that and would opt to get a cash advance or payday loans.

I guess this is okay as long as there is really a need but if you will borrow money just for a want like buying a new mobile phone then be prepared to be in buried in debt.

Telescopes and Binoculars

When I was younger I dream of being an astronaut. Celestial bodies and astronomy interests me so much. Our dad has contributed much to this interest because at our early age he would bring us at a nearby beach in the evening for stargazing. He would name for us the constellations he could see. However, we never had a telescope. The first time I’ve used one was just this year 2003. It was my sister in law’s telescope. I had a peak and saw the moon’s craters. It was an awesome experience for me.

If B.boy grows up and shows interests on astronomy, I’ll set aside some money to buy him a telescope. But I’m still not sure because right now his interests were animals and birds. He may be needing bird watching binoculars instead. Hahaha!

Divi Trip Soon…

We’re thinking of going to Divisoria tomorrow to buy stuff for our Assembly but the problem is we haven’t got any funds yet. Our paluwagan payoff will be on the 15th of November and that’s the only time that we’ll have money for some shopping.

So maybe we’ll postpone and go there on the 29th of November instead. I hope there won’t be much crowd. M0rn1ng would like to buy some cloth for his barong and I would like to shop for some new shoes and clothes. I’d like to visit 168 Mall as I’ve heard that it got good fashion finds and it sells wholesale fashion items too. I hope I could find something that I could convert to a breastfeeding blouse or dress.

Any suggestions where in Divi can we find all of these items that we would like to buy?

Baby Talk Tag from Ann

Ann tagged me a few weeks ago. Sorry for my delayed answer….

1. Are there any babies in your family or circle of friends?
B.boy is the only baby in the family. He’s got no cousins yet. Kaya naman lahat super excited sa kanyan. Walang kaagaw baga.
My bestfriend had a son too. He’s four months older than B.boy. It’s good because they are playmates.

2. Are you one of those people who use a high-pitched, sing-song voice when talking to babies and small children?
Yup. I’m guilty of this. I don’t know why I do it but I do. Hahaha!

3. If you were standing in line next to a *very* pregnant stranger at the bank or grocery store, what would you say to her?
I’ll smile and if I get a smile in return I’ll probably ask her of her baby’s gender and her due date. I’m very friendly kasi.

4. Similarly, what do you say or do near babies in public?
I make faces to elicit laughter.

5. When walking through a department store, are you the sort of person who can go by the baby clothes without even a glance or do you have to stop to ooh and ahh?
It depends if I have spare time. If I have then I might probably do some window shopping and if there’s a Sale then I might get something for B.boy.

Thanks Ann! I had fun doing this tag. :)

Vacation Planning

I always enjoy planning vacations and getaways. I guess this is true if you love traveling and visiting new places. The best place to research and plan is online. You can book the cheapest direct holidays if you know where and how to find them.

Holiday Hypermarket is one of the largest travel agencies in Europe. They have millions of package holiday bargains, last minute deals and cheap flights to fabulous destinations all over the world. You can also build your own holiday through their very helpful search. It also has a section for special offers.

If I were to choose, I would pick out the Egypt and Red Sea Deals. I would love to see those amazing pyramids for real.
