Blogging Tips

I’m done blogging for the day. Yipeeeee! I’ve found the perfect time and the perfect strategy to be able to blog at home. :) The perfect time is around 6 am when the boys are still asleep. The perfect strategy is to finish all paid post first then do the fillers afterwards. I get to focus more and thus it saves time. This is very important as we don’t have any DSL or broadband at home. I access the internet through my mobile phone connected to the laptop.

This is the reason why I can’t bloghop often when I’m on leave or on weekends. Thanks to Bloglines, bloghopping has been a lot easier. I can see those with new post and I can go to their sites and leave comments. This is better than going through each one of them using my blogroll.

I hope I have shared some useful blogging tips there. Have a nice day everyone!

Blogging Frenzy

I’m into blogging frenzy these past few days. The reason behind is that I want to earn some money for us to be able to open up another panwich food cart in another location. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to earn enough so we’re thinking the practicality of getting loans. Of course we have to research on what type would best suit our needs, whether it will be secured loans or personal loans. Then next would be to determine if we are able to pay and look into the prevailing interest rates.

If I earn enough from paid blogging then a personal loan will be sufficient. Who knows I’ll be able to rise above my target so getting a loan will not be necessary anymore.

Superman and Spiderman

Every night, I give B.boy a sponge bath and change his clothes. I haven’t had any problems until recently. He vehemently refuses to change his clothes. Now he has 2 favorite sandos, one is with Superman picture in front and the other one is Spiderman. He would gladly oblige if I am to change him with these, if not he will throw a tantrum. Yes, you read it right, the little boy now knows for to throw a fit. And it take a loooooooooooooooooooooooong patience to deal with it I tell you.

So last night, I was doing the same routine. The problem is, both of those sandos are already in the laundry basket. So I’ve got no choice but to give him a plain white sando. He cried on top of his lungs asking for his favorite shirts. Haaaaaay! What’s a poor mommy to do? I brought out all of his white shirts with other prints and asked him to pick out what he likes. I also told him that his favorite shirts are all dirty and even suggested that he try a Bora shirt with a very nice picture of a fish and star.

As I’ve expected he insisted on what he wants and cried. Kaloka! Kala ko nga puputok na ako because I’m so tired yesterday having no househelp at all. At dahil naiinis na ako I ignored him. After a few minutes I tried to ask him if he’s willing to take the alternative and he’s quite cooperative this time and I was able to dress him up. Pero may pagkamapilit pa rin at nag-iiyak from time to time. I told him repeatedly that the shirts are dirty and it smells bad so he can’t wear it tonight. Siguro napagod na rin after a while and he requested to nurse.

Buti na lang may dede to pacify. Kids can really test your patience and perseverance. I always tell myself to be firm but kind. I hope I can deal with these tantrums the proper way. Which reminds me to buy more spiderman and superman shirts. Two is definitely not enough.

Press Release:
GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PAST HAUNTS INDEBTED BRITS

- New price saving site launches to save Brits up to 20% this Christmas -

As the nation approaches the final countdown to Christmas, new research rings alarm bells over the financial impact of Christmas in credit crunch Britain. The research from the new money saving website Savebuckets.com reveals that as Brits prepare for Christmas, many are still paying off last year’s festive spending.

With 41 per cent of Britons paying for Christmas on credit last year, almost one in five are still paying for last year’s festivities (17%), fewer than one in three having cleared their Christmas debts when their January credit card bill arrived (29%).

Following a year of consumer confidence in 2006, Christmas spending soared 52 per cent in two years (from an average £548 per adult in 2004* to £837 per adult in 2006), with over one in five Brits spending over £1,000 on Christmas last year (22%). This year, with spending power at its lowest level for 10 years**, consumers are feeling the financial hangover from a more confident Christmas enjoyed on the credit card and loans.

Alarmingly, it is cash strapped youngsters and low income earners who, having spent the most on last Christmas, are most likely to be feeling the repercussions of last year’s spending spree (see figures below).

The research into the financial impacts of last Christmas amongst a GB representative sample of 2,000 British adults was carried out by the new money savings website Savebuckets.com which launches this week to enable Brits to get more for their money this Christmas.

With these alarming figures in mind, Savebuckets.com will give shoppers the opportunity to save up to 20% on their Christmas shopping. Putting consumers back in control of their spending, the site searches over 700 retailers for the best price on around one million products. The site includes a unique price checker which allows consumers to set the price they want to pay for items, notifying them when the price of a product falls to within their budget.

Outing with Friends Today

We’ll be going somewhere in Laguna today with our friends from the congregation. I still don’t know exactly where as hubby and I are mere tag-along. Somebody organized it and invited us to join them. There will be 20 of us in the group. M0rn1ng said we’d probably go to a hot spring. Weeeeeee! It’s been years since I’ve been to one. If I remember correctly, the last one was during my elementary days. Hahaha!

I hope B.boy would enjoy swimming and playing with Russel. That’s the son of my best friend who is just four months older than him. We will be leaving after lunch and will stay there overnight. M0rn1ng will bring tuna belly and bangus to be grilled and shared over dinner. I’m so excited! :)

I would have to pack our things later. Di ko pa nagagawa kasi blog muna ako. Hahaha! I’ll be back with pictures and stories on how it went.
