Weekly Grocery

We just got home from Waltermart. We went there after the meeting at the Kingdom Hall to do the weekly grocery. Our cupboard and fridge are already empty. We went ahead of M0rn1ng as they still have elder’s meeting at the hall. I went gaga over Pamper’s diaper. They are on “Buy two Take one” promo so I bought 8 packs. I guess this will last until two and half to three months. I saved around three pesos per piece and this translates to around 360 pesos savings in a month and 1080 in three months.

We went to Karate Kid to have lunch. This is the newest food chain in Waltermart and we are eager to try it out. They even have a promo with Abenson’s card. Finally, napakinabangan din main sha. B.boy ate a lot. He loved the katsudon and the gyoza. I’ll post another entry in this complete with pictures later.

I’m blogging as B.boy is taking his nap. We’ll go to our bible study appointments later when he wakes up.

Mirror Mirror on the Wall….

Who’s the fairest of them all? Hahaha! I was talking with M0rn1ng a few days back and I told him I want to get one of those makeup mirrors. He looked surprised and said “Really? Why do you need it for? You don’t even use makeup.” Then I told him of my plan of buying good makeup and studying how to put them on my face. I get tired of how I look when I go to the office. I look like a college student going to school rather than a professional working in the office.

My dear husband was laughing at me because after nearly 8 years of working I only thought about wearing makeup now. Hahaha! Would you know any good brand that I could try? If you can share any makeup tips or know a place where I can learn how to do my own makeup then I would be forever grateful.

This mommy wants to look fabulous.

We Survived!

Today’s the last day that we have no yaya. We’ve been very busy for the past days but I still managed to blog. Thanks to M0rn1ng’s help. I also found the perfect time to work without any distractions and I was able to work quickly too.

Times like these bring out the cooperation and helpfulness between M0rn1ng and I. I’m glad a have a husband who helps me out and never fails to give me support when needed. We are truly a great team.

Okay, I have to go now. We have to prepare for we have a Sunday meeting to attend at the Kingdom Hall. I hope everybody has a fine Sunday morning. :)

Graduate Studies

Have you ever considered taking up graduate studies? I did before. I took up Applied Mathematics focusing on Actuarial Science in 2001. However I decided not to finish it. Volunteer work has been my priority and I can’t juggle the two plus my full time work. I did not regret because I think I’ve chosen the right thing in serving God and others first.

The other thing the hindered me is the long commute from school to work. I was working at Makati and I have to go to Diliman three times a week. It was super tiring. Good thing there are fully online universities that offer graduate online degree programs, like capella university. Capella offers 104 graduate and undergraduate specializations and 15 certificate programs. It is committed to providing high caliber academic excellence and pursuing balanced business growth.

Now it is more convenient to study while working.

Hair Loss

One of my officemates has a problem on his hair. It is going thin and he’s afraid of hair loss soon. So he had it treated at Svenson’s. He’s complaining about the cost though. It’s good if it is costly but you can see the results. However in his case he’s not satisfied with the outcome.

Then I remember seeing provillus at trustsource.org. It aggressively seeds the scalp to create an optimum environment for new hair. It also supplies the proper nutrition required to bring back damaged, dead hair follicles back to life. I’m sure this one works because it got a 94% rating. This means that people who have really used the product got good reviews for it.

Trustsource.org it the best place to go if you are looking for products and want to be sure that you are getting you’re money’s worth. The consumer reviews will guide you on what product would be best to buy and use.

I’ll let my officemate know about this when I get into the office tomorrow.

Three Things

Three Things

I was tagged by Ann and was instructed to write three things that I couldn’t live without.

Well, my answer was mostly simple and elementary things. I’ve learned that I really couldn’t live without them when Milenyo struck us last year. Here’s my list:

1. WATER - We can’t take a bath, wash plates and so on. It was a pain in the neck trying to find where to get water and mag-igib ha.

2.ELECTRICITY - It is so hard to sleep at night without the proper ventilation. When Milenyo wreck havoc last year I found it too hard fanning B.boy manually. Then I’ve got problems with storing my breastmilk. All of them were spoiled and they have to bring B.boy to the office during lunchtime so that he could nurse. I don’t think it’s possible for me to work full time and breastfeed if there’s no electricity.

3.MY SOFT PILLOW - I have a habit of pinching pillows so that I can fall asleep. And it has to be soft para masaya. :)

Thanks Ann! I had fun answering.

I’m tagging Joy, JennyR, Abie, Juliana, Kelly and Apols
