Laoag

We did not see much of Laoag this time as our sightseeing brought us south. We went to Vigan and it was really my first time to explore this wonderful place. We had loads of fun at Singson’s Baluarte and looking at the beautiful houses at Calle Crisologo.

We planned to treat Mama and Papa at a dinner at Fort Ilocandia to celebrate their wedding anniversary but they declined. A bit sad because I’m interested to know how Laoag decorated the city hall. Before, they filled it with thousands of lights flickering non-stop. They even had snowflake decorations a few years back. I heard that it wasn’t that extravagant ever since the Marcoses replaced the Farinas.

Anyhow, Papa prepared the best goat dishes to our delight. We had kilawin, papaitan and caldereta. We only get to eat goat meat when we’re back home.

I was so happy to see a message in my cbox from Juliana today. I clicked the link right away and found out that she is sharing this True Blue award with me. Thanks a lot sweetie! I appreciate this so much.

Changes

We arrive home at around 2:30 pm. Good thing we had a nice brunch so we were not super hungry by that time. Some has change in our family house since our last visit on May. The first thing I noticed was the TV. It wasn’t at the family hall anymore. I asked them what happened to the TV. To my surprise, I saw a brand new TV sitting at the living room. Hahaha! Mama jokingly told us that Papa got an entertainment showcase. I never knew he’s into flat panel televisions too.

That’s a good thing because it’s just him and mama in the house and it can get lonely sometimes. Besides both of them rarely goes to the cinema so it is great that they can enjoy good movies at home.

We’re Back!

Yep, we arrived this afternoon. It was a fun trip and we enjoyed it tremendously. But the one who enjoyed it the most was our little boy. He’s grown a lot since we were there last May. He can now appreciate the plane ride, the farm, the beach, the calesa ride. Hahaha! And he has grown fond of his grandparents too.

Mama was in near tears when we bade goodbye this afternoon. We will be back again that’s for sure…maybe this coming summer. Stories and pictures will be posted later. I just need to finish some assignments as they are due today.

Stay tuned! :)
