We Are Family

One of my friends is getting married this year and we are excited to hold a shower party for her. We’re talking about the party theme, activities and gifts to give her. Someone even suggested to give a bit naughty item such as leather lingerie. I’m sure it will flatter her beautiful figure.

It’s a holiday on my part of the world. The country is commemorating the People Power Revolution. I’m glad because I don’t have to go to work and I could spend a lot of time with B.boy and hubby. Last night, after our bible study appointments, we went to our panwich and shawarma stalls. B.boy had a lot of fun tagging along with M0rn1ng and we stuffed ourselves with our paninda. We ate a cup of sweet corn at the one food cart and shawarma at Pedro Gil. We also rode the LRT to get from one place to another. B.boy loved his second train ride.

We went home tired but very happy. My sister prepared some sushi and tuna teppanyaki for dinner. We are very fortunate to have a good cook in the family. Parang kumakain sa restaurant every weekend.

I woke up very early today and B.boy and I shopped for some veggies for our pancit bihon. I buckled him up in his stroller and wet to the nearby talipapa. We took a bath and dressed up after. We wanted him to have a haircut so we both went to Glorietta. Here we are on our taxi ride.

I was surprised that he did not cry during the hair cut, so unlike before. I was so proud that he was so behaved and even the staff there like him. They gave him a toy with some candies after. Here he is sporting a new do for the summer.

M0rn1ng loved the cut. He’s also so happy to hear that he’s no longer afraid of the buzzing razor. He looks so grown up now and I couldn’t believe it that he is no longer a baby. He’ll be turning two on the 15th.

Since he’s been such a good boy, I let him play in the play area. He had loads of fun on slide and running around with the kids. I have to tell him a couple of times that we have to go home and cook lunch. He always begs to have “two minutes, mommy”. Then I have to let him have an extension. After that, he willingly went home. He got tired that he slept even before I got lunch prepared. He’s still sleeping so I have some computer time. We’re planning to go to Bonifacio High Street late when he wakes up. I hope he’ll have a grand time there too. I’ll share some photos and stories tomorrow.

I’ve been tagged by Abie to show little boy’s best smiles. I didn’t have difficulty finding one because B.boy is always game in front of the camera. I just couldn’t post the ones when he was still a baby because it’s on my office PC.

I’ve known that Filipina women have a dating site and this aims to meet foreign guys who would want to marry them. This works well both ways because foreign men like the Filipino culture and they most likely they will pick someone who is nurturing and caring by nature. My mom has a collection of old coins that she keeps. I got reprimanded when I was a child when I brought it out and played with it. Mama explained that these are not ordinary coins and part of collection that can be sold for a high amount.

That is my first exposure to coins as assets. Today, there are people who buy us gold coins as their investment. In the US, these can be bought at companies like MONEX. For over 30 years, Monex companies have been America’s gold, silver and precious metals investment leader.

This is a good option especially now that the stock market is not doing well.

Just around the corner so I stopped my blogging frenzy. There’s a lot of work in the office that I have to take care of. Then I have to do some raket on my other site. This one rarely gets anything since the PR drop. But I’m still thankful that there still something from time to time.

I love cats as pets. They are quiet, warm and make a good companion. I have this pet cat for around 6 years already. She’s an ordinary cat with no breed but we love her so much. She knows how to use the litter box so she doesn’t make a mess around the house.

We love her so much that we make sure we buy the appropriate pet supplies that she needs. We also had her neutered because I don’t think her body can sustain having a lot of children. Besides we couldn’t keep them and take care of them all.

We are so happy because it looks like our new business venture has a lot of potential. Last week sales have been great and it continued to be this week. We sold 9 kilos of beef on our first day and 15 kilos on the succeeding days. Here is the photo of the shop.
