Escape Your Problems???

Published by nice under Just Me, My Thoughts

Drug addiction and alcoholism has been become rampant these past few years. We can see a lot of celebrities hooked to it and has been going in and out of rehabs.

Maybe it’s because of the numerous problems people are facing nowadays and they desire to escape it all that they turn into drugs or alcohol. But I always think that it is better to approach problems head-on no matter how difficult it is than try to escape. What do you think?

It Went In a Flash

Published by nice under My Thoughts, Office Tales

I was referring to the month of March. This has been my busiest ever and I know it will continue as our company integrates with the other company that it bought. I didn’t write about it much because I don’t want to dwell on negative things. I guess it will be sufficient to say that this has been my thoughest working year ever. There are a lot of conflicts, pressure and stress.

And there’s that uncertainty about the future. I’m still unsure on what will it bring this year. I wish I have the option to just resign and stay at home. But that is not possible at the moment. So I don’t have any option but to wait and see. Still, uncertainty stirs up fear…fear of the unknown.

Anyway, I’m preparing myself for whatever the future brings. I will just ride with the flow and see where the current will lead me.

Pearls

Published by nice under Beauty, Just Me, My Thoughts

What’s your favorite jewelry? Mine are not diamonds or gold. True, they have lustrous appeal but I prefer the understated elegance of freshwater pearls. They look so simple but they can adorn anybody who wears them.

I love to wear them as earrings. I received one as a graduation gift a few years back. Too bad it got lost. I’ll buy a replacement once I got some extra money.

Shoe Lover?

Published by nice under Great Finds, Just Me, shopping

I love shoes but don’t all women do? If I have to forgo practicality or if I have lots of money to spend, I’d have lots of shoes too. Lots mean more than my fingers on the hand and feet combined. Hahaha!

But one thing I hate about new shoes was the blisters on my feet because of this. This is the reason why I’m also careful in choosing what to buy. I usually go for the comfortable and soft ones.

I’m happy to find out that there is what they call Blister Treatment. Now, we can wear any shoes we like without the fear of having blisters. Cool eh?

Success!

I was able to withdraw my blog money from Paypal to BPI.  Yipeee!  I’m giddy with joy.  :)  I’m saving that money to buy some new stuff for the house.  We badly need a china cabinet and the sofa needs some replacing too.  I hope I have enough money to buy all these.   I’ve been into cleaning and making more room for the little boy to play around these past few days.  I hope we can get our trust kuya William to do all the work needed to create more space.  I’m so excited.

Not bad huh? Love came as the highest, so that means that i have a great love life to boast. hahaha! The BODY aspect is the lowest. It didn’t come as a surprise as I always get sick which somehow affects the quality of life that I have. I should take care of my health more.

Travel Travel

Published by nice under Travel

I’ve always loved travels sites especially those that offers great discounts. I’ve always had a grand time browsing and scouring for best deals. Planning family vacations and getaways gives me great joy. If money is no object then we would be traveling here and there. Hahaha!

Most of these sites are user friendly too. They even went to the extent of translating the sites to widely used languages so you will not be surprised to see a descuento en hoteles sites. That’s discounts on hotels in Spanish.

This is a great help for people not speaking in English. Although English is the universal language there are also a lot of people who cannot communicate using that language.

Picky

Published by nice under Andre Miguel, Mommy Talks

B.boy is really picky when it comes to clothes that he’ll wear. The rule of thumb is, if it’s not comfortable, he mostly likely wouldn’t wear it. We had a hard time encouraging him to wear polo during our Sunday meetings. He is so used to wearing sandos and sleeveless shirts that he finds sleeves and collars unnerving.

Slowly he learned to wear one. We first began with example. Pointing to him children appropriately dressed during assemblies and weekly meeting at the Kingdom Hall. He soon got the point.

Not to be underestimated are our constant praises on how good he looks wearing polos and long pants. We would clap our hands and cheer him up whenever he willingly agrees. Now, we don’t have any problems dressing him up in that kind of attire.

So we thought we could bring this up to the next level by letting him wear long sleeves with tie on our Memorial (this is a special occasion to commemorate Jesus’ ransom sacrifice) celebration. For the past couple of days, we would point to his daddy wearing a tie and how good it looks on him. Telling him that we would also buy him one and he agreed.

However, putting it on is another thing. The Memorial day came and he refused to wear the new tie. He cried profusely that I let him have his own way. Here he is on his porma sans the necktie.

I’m hoping that he will learn to wear one later. It just takes a lot of patience and a little more persuasion.
