Franchise

Having a franchise is a great way to start your own business. You don’t have to work much if you do not have much experience in running one because as long as you follow the tried and tested formula you will never go wrong.

We’ve seen a lot of franchises in the food cart business. We were very interested to have one so when one of our friends started to franchise their successful shawarma business, we grabbed the opportunity.

And we thank God that it’s been doing great for the past two months. If all goes well, we may be able to get our ROI in six months. :)

How To Lose Weight

Published by nice under Beauty, Health

The question on how to lose weight is a very special topic for moms like me. Most of us would like to go back to our pre-pregnancy size and shed those unwanted pounds.

To be able to do that, changes may have to be made in what we have been eating. Avoiding fatty foods—such as cheeseburgers or foods fried in fat—makes good dietary sense. Sugary soft drinks and pastries are likewise low in nutrition and high in calories. And though a lot of salt on a lean piece of beef may taste great, it causes our body to retain water.

Most dietitians agree that enjoying a little of our favorite foods once in a while won’t hurt us. But if we really want to lose weight, we must develop a taste for healthier foods such as fruits, nuts, whole grains, and vegetables.

While eating right is important, we will not shed pounds unless we turn up your brain’s “thermostat.” How? By engaging in moderate aerobic exercise for about 20 minutes at least three times a week. Something as simple as a brisk walk or stair climbing may suffice. Exercise helps us look leaner and trimmer no matter what our weight or body type. As it turns up our metabolic furnace, we burn calories and fat. Through exercise we can alter our body chemistry. We can increase our muscle mass, and muscles burn calories even when you’re sleeping! :)

Sickies

dsc02467.JPGLast Monday was a holiday and I wanted to prepare something special for the family so I cooked Kare-kare. But something unexpected happened. I opened the cooker before it totally cooled down so the pressure was still great and the boiling water spilled over my left hand.

It was so painful to bear and the doctors at the emergency of MMC was afraid to give painkillers as they weren’t sure if it safe for breastfeeding. So I was just went home with only biogesic to ease the pain. We came back after 4 hours because the pain is too much for me to bear and I can’t get my affected arm out of the cold water. It is the only way that soothes the burnt area.

They’ve given me a painkiller through IV and put antibacterial cream and bandage on my left arm. It was so much better after that. Good thing, pain subsided the next morning and I was able to go to work.

Today, it was B.boy who got sick. He’s been vomiting, having diarrhea and fever too. We were alarmed this morning because he’s experiencing chills and throwing up non-stop. His pedia said that it’s gastroenteritis and its common during hot season. She said that we just have to make sure that he is hydrated.

I took a leave from work to take care of the little boy. So far he hasn’t throw up since 8:30 this morning and his fever is gone. I hope he gets well soon.
