My grandpa died of sudden cardiac arrest almost seven years ago. It took us all by surprise. We didn’t know he was sick. Maybe he doesn’t know either as he is always at tip top shape so he never cared to go for checkups. Had he done that he could’ve discovered that he already has an abnormal heart rhythm.
I still couldn’t believe it that the day before that he was so healthy and he even helped in fixing the broken wirings that were destroyed by the typhoon. The next day he had sudden cardiac arrest.
So it is always good to check and see if we have warning signs of this disease.

Today’s another busy day. I did the laundry because our laundry lady is vacationing in the province. She will return next week. We have a lot of dirty clothes because our last washing was Thursday last week. We have more than a week worth of dirty clothes for 6 people. Can imagine that?
I was done by 2pm and we went grocery shopping after. Then I fixed our clothes and cooked dinner. We attended the book study at 6:30pm and here I am now catching up on my writing assignments.
I can’t wait to hit the sack. Yawn!

My sister just came into our room asking if she should get a personal life insurance. An agent is offering a plan for and she is unsure if she should take it or not. I told her that even if she has insurance as benefit from our office, she should also consider getting something for her own. Just in case that she wants to go freelance later on. Besides, it is cheaper to buy insurance while we are young.

We left the house at around 5:45 pm. We were at the airport at 20 minutes later and much to our dismay, the flight was delayed for an hour. By 7:30 we were done with checking in and immigration. We had dinner and went to the kiddie lounge to kill time. B.boy had a great time playing with the blocks and slides.

We boarded the plane at around 9pm. We noticed that B.boy has colds but good thing that he is still his usual playful self. We had cup noodles and crackers on the plane. We dozed off after.
The plane landed at around 1:30am. Our friend was there to fetch us and we arrived at their home at 2pm. B.boy has a slight fever so we were a little worried. He wasn’t feeling well in the morning so he took paracetamol. He was better at lunch time so went to Singapore Zoo. We noticed that the fever went back so we decided to drop by at our friend’s house at Serangoon. We just had lunch at Ang Mo Kio and we boarded bus number 73 to our friend’s house.

They are our neighbors before and they migrated to Singapore last May 5. B.boy and their little boy are good friends so they are so happy to see each other again. The little boy dozed off. He woke up at around 5:30pm and we had an early dinner at around 6pm. We head off to Night Safari after.

We were there at around 8:30pm. We took the tram that will take you around the park. It was amazing to see those wonderful animals bathe in moonlight err, in subdued artificial light but it has the same effect. The tour took around 45 minutes.
We went to see the creatures of the night show afterwards. They’ve got trained hyenas, owls, otters and snakes on the show. The show lasts for 30 minutes.
We were hungry after that so we grabbed some burgers at Bongo Burgers and headed back to our friend’s place at Serangoon. It was around an hour travel without the bus waiting time. So we were dead tired when we reached home.
Since B.boy missed his friend, they played until 1am. Only when we reprimanded them that they got ready to bed.

We’re back from the 3-day Singapore trip. It was really fun although tiring. We commute most of the time so we got the hang of bus and train routes. I wish we could have stayed longer but some good things never last.
I’m back to reality. There are a lot of urgent things to do in the office so I worked at home after lunch. Yes, that’s the sad reality. Plus there are some writing assignments that I need to do like write something about cattle supplies. They will be expiring really soon.
I’ll post some pictures and stories later. Stay tuned.

A friend from the US is looking to buy a real estate property. They are specifically looking at buying Santa Fe NM land. They said that the place is really great and would truly captivate your heart.
I was intrigued so I searched for more information about Santa Fe New Mexico MLS. I was surprised because they were reasonably priced. All my friend has to do now is research the ins and outs of Buying real estate in Santa Fe.
The best website is knowingsantafe.com. It offers a lot of information on this location for both buyers and sellers. It has more than 30 years of experience on this market so they are the experts in this field.
I hope our friend can buy their dream property in that place.

At 8:30 one evening two newlyweds bought a $3,000 family policy with a $10,000 temporary rider. (A “rider” lets a person mix temporary insurance with permanent coverage.) They paid the first premium of $15.19. The next day the husband went to the stone quarry where he worked and was killed in an accident. The protection of the policy had gone into immediate effect because of payment of just one premium.
The result was that the widow was entitled to receive $6,000 in a lump sum. This was a double payment of the basic amount because of the accidental nature of her husband’s death. In addition, she will receive $10,000 over a period of time. Thus, the prepayment of just fifteen dollars and a few cents will provide $16,000 for a widow and her unborn child.
This case illustrates a basic truth. Life insurance cannot insure a person against death. But it can protect his dependents against some of the economic loss caused by his death. That is the primary purpose of life insurance.
For many persons life insurance has taken on a secondary role—that of building up a savings account to provide cash benefits in case one is disabled or if one retires.
Since there are different viewpoints with regard to life insurance and its various kinds of policies, how should a person who wants its protection buy such insurance? He should buy it according to his own needs, circumstances and outlook for the future. The first step is to evaluate life insurance quotes.

What do you do when you are short on cash and an emergency presented itself? It can be a very stressful and frustrating situation. Especially if the scenario is that you have a loved one who is sick and you don’t have enough money for medicines and hospitalization. The best bet is to approach friends of relatives and ask for a loan. However, everybody is short on money nowadays and that makes it hard for friends to lend us.
If you have a job, it is easier to obtain payday loans. These are cash advance no faxing required. Most of these companies have websites and all you have to do is complete their online application form. Once approved you will get the money the next business day. It’s that easy so you don’t have to worry where to get money for unavoidable emergencies.
In the US, as long as you receive a regular income of at least $1,00 per month, and have a direct deposited enabled bank account, you are sure to be eligible for these types of loans.
However, these should only be reserved for emergencies and necessary expense. Or else you might find yourself drowned in debt. In managing finances, the key is always live within your means.

I woke up really early today. I have to finish all my blog assignments before we leave for Singapore later this evening. I’m not sure if I would have internet access while there. Besides we will be busy visiting the new places that I won’t have time to write anything. We want to maximize our three day stay.
I haven’t packed our bags yet. Hahaha! Talk about cramming.
I must remember to stuff my bag with food and entertainment for the little boy. There is no food served at Cebu Pacific so I better be prepared.
And oh! I think I also need to go to Smart Wireless Center to activate the roaming function to my mobile phone. My boss might kill me if he can’t reach me. He’ll be at Japan this week so I guess he will be pretty busy too. Good thing, they haven’t issued my blackberry yet. This makes our vacation pretty exciting as I won’t have access to my work emails.
Wish me all the best that I could accomplish everything I need to do before we leave.

The price for oil is rising steadily these past few months. No wonder that the consumers are complaining. Good thing that we live near to everywhere to commuting is the best option. Sometimes when the weather is fine, meaning not too hot or cold, we walk our way to the office.
I’m wondering the effect of this oil crisis to automobile’s sales. I’m speculating that there will be a drop, as people may not want to buy cars because gas is so expensive. Add up to that are the high costs of auto maintenance.
However, if you live in the suburbs, having a car is imperative. Or else you wouldn’t be able to go to other places. What if there is an emergency at night. You need to bring your children to the hospital and there is no public transport readily available?
There are pros and cons to every situation. But to make the cost affordable, some opt to get an auto car loan. This can help us make our cars more affordable by financing it and we pay the amortizations. You can also save a lot in this regard if you know some tips and tricks on this arena.
For example, it is best to think really hard what type of auto loan you can afford. The rule is that you should never spend more than 20 percent of your monthly income on your auto payment. This means that if you are earning 50,000 a month, the maximum monthly payment you can afford is 10,000 only. You should also keep in mind the price of the car, the down payment, the terms of the loan as well as the interest rate.
