M0rn1ng and I woke up at around 7 am. We took a bath and planned our itinerary for the day. We have to go back to our friend’s house in Marine Parade because we forgot to bring the battery charger for our camera. We need to walk a few distance to get to the bus stop to be able to catch bus #55 which is the shortest way to get to Marine Parade. It is hard to find the right way to go if you only got maps to assist you.
We had breakfast and B.boy woke up at around 10am. We left Serangoon at 11 and reach Marine Parade Neptune Court Bus stop at 11:45. However, heavy rain was pouring and we only got one small umbrella. We need to get to the other side so we will definitely get wet. We just waited for the rain to stop.

The heavy rains subsided after 20 minutes and we were able to find our way back to our friend’s place. We had lunch and planned our way to Sentosa. We boarded a bus that took us to Eunos MRT station at around 2pm. Then we transferred to purple line and hopped off at the Harbourfront Station. From there we rode a cable car to Sentosa. It was the boys’ first cable car ride and they were very excited. We bought a tour package at SGD54.80 each which includes: round rip cable car ride, Underwater World, Dolphin Show, and Cineblast. It also comes with the guided tour, island admission and sentosa bus or sentosa express ride. I think these tours are better because of it’s convenience. You avoid the queue to ride the buses and you have a guided tour. Just choose the one that is most applicable to your needs.

We reached Sentosa at around 3:30 and we met our tour guide in one of the souvenir shops. We boarded the bus that took us to the underwater world. We had a great time looking and touching some of the fishes and stingrays. The little boy loved the colorful corals and fishes. Their fish tunnel is also very beautiful. It make you feel that you are under the sea.

Next stop is the dolphin show. It was our first time to watch something like this. The little boy was clapping his hands while the dolphins are doing backflips. They even asked for volunteers who don’t mind getting wet. As a reward, the dolphins gave them a peck in the cheek. Awwww! We should have brought extra clothes had we known.

After that we went to watch extreme log ride at the Cine blast. We had a ride of our lives because of the latest high definition wide-screen projection, digital technologies and state of the art 6-axis motion system. At first we were afraid that B.boy will cry but thank goodness he did not. On the contrary he actually enjoyed it. I think the little boy is made for scary rides.

The tour ends with that and we boarded the bus to Beach Station to buy tickets for the Songs of the Sea. It is a mesmerizing show with a live cast and dramatic effects like pyrotechnics, water jets, brilliant lasers, special computer imaging, stunning flame bursts and captivating music. What can I say? The little boy was really amazed with the whole presentation. Tickets are sold at SGD6.

We went to see the Merlion after and rode the Sentosa Express to Vivocity. We had dinner at Food Republic, their very own food court. It was very nicely decorated, very far from the usual mall food court that we have here in the country.

The little boy did not take the afternoon nap during that day. I guess he was enchanted by the place and the experience. We saw that twinkle in his eyes and the look in his face that he’s having the time of his life and that is enough to make our hearts swell with happiness.
He fell asleep while we are on the train going back to Marine Parade. We arrived home at 11pm.

Stay tuned for Day 3.
