1. When was your first kiss and where?
- Dec 2002.  It was somewhere near Westin Philippine Plaza.  M0rn1ng and I used to hang out there when we were still dating.    :)

2. When was your first real relationship and how long did it last?
- Oct 23, 2002.  M0rn1ng is my first real relationship.  I had some others ahead of him but those weren’t really considered serious eh.  M0rn1ng and I dated for 2 and half years before we got married.

3. What age were you allowed to date?
- When I already had my job.

4. What’s the craziest thing you did (for love) when you were a teenager?
- I would secretly go out on dates during school hours.  But I don’t think it is because of out of love.  It’s more of being pressured by peers.

5. How long was your longest relationship and what’s the secret?
- 2 and a half years with M0rn1ng.  I think the magic word is “patience” and “commitment”.  M0rn1ng and I are too different and we’re poles apart.  So we need patience to make our relationship work.  At first it was difficult but as long as you don’t force yourself on the other and respect each other, things will work.  Besides, being different is good because we have the chance to look at one thing in two sides or perspective.

6. How long did you date before you decided to settle down?
- We started officially dating on June 2002 and we got married on May 23, 2005.

7. How did you know he was the ONE?
- He accepted me for what I am.  No questions asked.

8. Now, at what age will you allow your kids(s) to date?
- I think this will depend on the maturity and readiness of my kids.  I wouldn’t impose any age but I would like to inculcate that dating is for people who are old enough to be looking seriously for someone to marry.  It will save them from a lot of heartaches and troubles, believe me.

9. When it comes to your kids dating, will you be a cool parent or a strict parent?
- I wanted to be in between.  You know, someone who is reasonable and willing to listen to their views but also standing firm on what is best for my kids.

10. What piece of advice can you give to your child when they start dating?
First, you can observe the person. How does he behave? How does he treat other people? How does she talk to her parents or other family members? These things are important because they indicate how you eventually may be treated.

Through casual conversation, you can find out whether his or her interests and goals are similar to yours. You might also find out what other people think about this person.

You will want to learn what kind of person this is, about his or her thoughts, ideas, and inner self. How does he act under pressure? Who are her friends? What is the family like, and how do they treat one another?

Working together can give you a better insight into the person’s qualities. Allow time for unpleasant habits to surface. Then, with eyes wide open, they can enter marriage confident of being able to work out disagreements that will arise. Successful courtship has prepared them for a successful and happy marriage. :)

My Voice is My Password

I love the James Bond series. Anyway, I’ll love any movie or TV series as long as it is about secret agents. I love the mystery, action, and the technology shown. They show the latest cars and gadgets. I even remember that for highly valued items, it is usually protected by voice passwords.

I’ve researched on this topic and found out that speech recognition technology is already used widespread nowadays. It can either be computer speech recognition which means the spoken words are translated to machine readable input or speaker recognition which is identifying the person speaking which is often used for voice password. This is what they usually call voice biometrics. It provides multifactor authentication of an individual’s identity through the unique properties of an individual’s voice.

It is also far more superior that the IVR software because it can handle complex tasks all at once. Callers can easily select from long list like cities and stocks so it is more user-friendly. This is the reason why this is the technology employed for high volume telephone transactions and inquiries.

It’s really how amazing how technology makes life easier. :)
