The New Nook
It’s been two months since we transferred to a new office. We used to be sitting in the 18th floor but now they transferred us to the 17th. It was an adjustment at first as I wasn’t really used to enclosed areas. Talking to my teammates is harder as I have to walk around to their area to check on their work and its progress.
The office furnitures at the 18th are also better. Oh how I miss my old chair. The one I have now is not ergonomically designed. It’s giving me backaches sometimes. But it is not entirely bad at all. I like the temperature here better. It is way too cold in the 18th floor that it gives me colds and headaches. At least here, I don’t have to wear jackets and bonnets.
After a month I was finally settled on my new nest. I have learned to love the walls that enclosed my area. I have plenty of space to pin my family pictures that inspire me to work. I love the whiteboard attached on one of the walls, as I can write all my to-dos keep me focus on what I need to accomplish. You see, it’s just all about perspective and getting used to.
