Our New Addiction

survivor.jpg

I was not the only one but our whole household. We stay up late because we are following the show. It gets even more exciting now that the 2 tribes have merged and their former alliances are put to the test. I wonder if Chris and Kaye would really turn their backs against their former Naak comrades. If that would happen then it will make the show more exciting and unpredictable. However, it would be sad if Kiko will be the one to bid goodbye tonight. I would have preferred Marlon to be voted out first as he is the most devious and scheming of them all.

If only Kiko had known that the other 2 Naak members have plans of joining forces with Marlon, he could’ve exerted more effort on the last immunity challenge. The last IC was really a test of endurance for all of them. I salute Chris for getting that far. I just hope that he did not get any Plantar Fasciitis with that last activity. Vern showed her strength and endured the pain like a true athlete. So she’s safe on tonight’s Tribal Council.

The big question is who will be the next to go, Kiko or Marlon? That depends on Chris and Kaye’s vote. We’ll find out tonight. :)

I Wanna Come Home…

Who wouldn’t if this little boy will be greeting you like this….

Mommy, here are your slippers! :)

I came home late last Tuesday and everybody already had dinner except me. The first thing I did was sit on the dining table and eat. The little boy went up the stairs rushing. I was yelling at him not to go up as he might hurt himself but he paid no attention. He came down a few minutes alter and gave my slippers! I was so touched because I never asked him to fetch it for me ever but he knows I need it and he got it for me. :) I was so proud too as he is really very sweet and smart.

I also got another surprise. Pinaghimay ako ni M0rn1ng ng isda so that I can conveniently eat. Awwww! My heart just melts and I had the perfect dinner that day…thanks to the boys. :) These are the reasons why I always love to come home. I love them super!!!!

Saving Electricity: Electric Hot-Water Heater

I’ve read this useful article on how we can save on electric bills. I’m sharing the tips here :

It is generally recognized that of all the electrical appliances used in a home, the one that consumes the most electricity is the hot-water heater or if you are more affluent, the tankless water heater. How can you use it more economically?

In the first place, do not overheat your water. Generally it suffices to keep it at from 140 degrees to 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Secondly, do not use hot water when warm or even cold water will do—as in washing certain types of clothing. And when choosing between a tub bath and use of the shower, keep in mind that a shower requires but half the amount of hot water that a tub bath does.

If you have an electric dishwasher, you can save on the hot water if you simply rinse the dishes, and do not use the washer after each meal but wait until it is full, or use it just once a day. Also, you can save if, instead of washing dishes under hot running water, you use a dishpan or the sink partially filled. The same goes for shaving.

And make sure that you have no dripping hot-water faucets. One dripping hot-water faucet can, in the course of a year, cost you as much as $40 extra. It will also pay you to have your hot-water heater checked from time to time to see that it is working properly.

Hope this helps. :)
