Reflecting on my 2009 Goals

I’t already half of the year. I decided to look back and see how i fared for the goals I have set for the year.
I have rated each aspect. 1 is the lowest and 10 being the highest.

Health: Stay fit and healthy.
Midyear Score > 5.4

1. Ward off stress. 3, I think I’m doing the contrary.
2. Get enough rest. – 8 Doing a great job on this except when too much stress causes me sleepless nights.
3. Drink 8 glasses of water - 5, I forget sometimes.
4. Exercise - 2 , Total failure.
5. Watch what you eat. Take food supplements. - 9, Being a good girl when it comes to food and taking supplements.

Family: Let them feel they are PRIORITY.
Midyear Score > 4

1. Weekends are for family. Do not work. Do not think of work. - 2, had a difficult time doing this especially a month back which resulted to an argument. I’m happy to say that I’m quite back on track.
2. Do not bring work at home. - 2, same are above.
3. Schedule time for vacation with them. – 5, I did schedule but I am still bothered by work.
4. Spend time not only with the little one but on the husband as well. – 5, had some dates though not as regular.
5. Do things as a family. - 6, we enjoy our bimonthly grocery trips, bible reading, family study and preaching work together.

Spiritual: Finish reading the Bible and Pioneer at least one month this year.
Midyear Score > 4.8

1. Do not let TV distract you from reading the Bible. – 9, we’re on the right track for this.
2. Do more return visits. – 4, wasn’t able to do much of this.
3. Improve my art of teaching. - 5, just moderate. I had seen some improvements because I’ve applied it to my Bible study and she is progressing. Thanks to Jah!
4. Do personal study. - 2, I wasn’t able to do this.
5. Improve the quality of my prayers. – 4, needs improvement on this regard.

Work: Love your work. Give it all you can but do not let it consume you.

1. Do better time management. Have a time for everything and follow schedules. - 8
2. Work with people better. Empower them and delegate effectively. - 7
3. Don’t sweat the small stuff. - 7
4. Never expect too much. Expect for the best prepare for the worst. -6
5. Never give up on doing what is fine. Rewards are those for people who are consistently improving while patiently waits. - 7

Money: Save at least 30% of our monthly household income. Make good investments to make money work for us.

1. Stick to our budget. - 7
2. Look for good investments and save for the future. - 4
3. Buy necessities only. For wants that will serve as treat for oneself, scout for good buys and sales. - 8
