Overpacking tops the list of biggest travel mistakes. Of all the travel skills you might acquire, travelling light is the one most likely to result in a relaxed, productive, stress-free travel experience. Since 2002, I’ve been travelling in and out of the country every year. I usually bring just two bags, my shoulder bag and the other is my wheeled Samsonite luggage. Traveling light, by packing light has a lot of advantages.
One, you are able to take all you luggage as carry-on.  Two, you are able to handle your luggage yourself and three, transportation becomes simpler.

Pain Detection Tool

For many years, a real dilemma for legal and medical experts has been determining the veracity of personal-injury claims. Is the victim really in great pain, or is he feigning it so as to get a large monetary settlement?

A new method of pain detection—thermography—may be the answer. “The technique uses infrared sensors to make a multi-colored picture of temperature variations on the skin,” says a report in The Globe and Mail of Canada. Pain in soft tissue, which cannot be detected by X ray, will show up in the infrared picture because of temperature differences due to muscle spasms or constriction of blood vessels. Courts in several states in the US have accepted thermograms as evidence. Thus, thermography according to Tennessee injury lawyers may be a blessing to the honest sufferer and help to expose the malingerer.

Party & Drama with the Kids

We are planning to have a picnic party with the children of our congregation on November 7, Saturday at 2 in the afternoon. We are still looking for a venue so that we can accommodate around 40 people. There will be games, balloons, food, fun and Bible drama about the Israelites’ exodus from Egypt. We have little Moses, little Aaron, little Pharaoh himself and other characters. My little boy, Andre, will be one of the Israelites who will cross the Red Sea. They had the rehearsal last Sunday and it was so fun seeing our little kids act. They will also sing “A Victory Song” after the drama. We’ll just post some pictures and videos after the affair so you guys can see it.

Save that Tooth!

If your tooth gets knocked out by accident, don’t throw it away. Research shows that you have a 50% chance of a successful reimplantation if you get to the dentist within 30 minutes.  What should you do? Try to stay as calm as possible. Hold the tooth by the crown and rinse it gently in lukewarm water—do not scrub it. Call your dentist to tell him of your visit and, unless he tells you otherwise, insert the tooth gently back into its socket. Bite down firmly on a clean cloth or handkerchief for five minutes to seat the tooth, and keep biting with moderate pressure until you see the dentist. If you can’t immediately reinsert the tooth, keep it bathed in saliva in your mouth. For children who are so young that they may swallow the tooth, place it in a plastic bag or a cup and immerse it in milk or water containing a pinch of salt. Even if a longer time has elapsed, it is best to go to a Plano dentist and let him decide what to do. Saving a tooth is definitely worth the effort.

Chemicals That Kill

Do you breathe chemical products at your place of work, or come into skin contact with them? The publication The Causes of Cancer lists alkylating agents, aromatic amines, asbestos, benzene, vinyl chloride, and certain compounds of arsenic, cadmium, chromium, and nickel. It also indicates risky occupations to be hardwood-furniture and leather-goods manufacture. Then what can you do if any of these factors are implicated in your work?
Usually, responsible employers will take steps to eliminate the danger of contamination. In some cases, increased ventilation has served to remove vapors more quickly from the work area. In other situations, workers spend briefer periods in a danger area. Protective clothing and respirators are used.

If your employer is not willing to protect you, then you might have to weigh the advisability of changing your job. After all, your health is one of your most valuable assets.
If you have been diagnosed with an asbestos-related disease (asbestosis, lung cancer, mesothelioma), you can bring a legal claim against the manufacturers, sellers and installers of asbestos products. Filing a legal claim with the assistance of Mesothelioma lawyers can help you address the medical and financial problems that asbestos-related diseases can cause victims and their families.

HK Trip Day 3: Sunday Meeting & The Peak

We woke up early because the Sunday meeting is at 9am. We were told of the Kingdom Hall’s address but where exactly, we don’t know. We have to rely on the map. M0rn1ng and I were up by 6am and we walked around the vicinity of the hotel looking for a new place to have breakfast. We didn’t reach that far as the rain poured heavily. We then settled for our good old McDo.

At around 8, we left the hotel and we are on our way to Lai Chi Kok. We rode the MTR and alighted at Sham Shui Po station. We’re happy that we did not get lost and we’re there 15 mins before 9am.
