It’s been a year since I got my own domain and web hosting for this nicemorning blog. I couldn’t be happier because finally I have more flexibility and free hand in this site, not to mention some monetary opportunities opening up as well. I was fortunate because Amore, a very good of mine help me up with the setup. She did all the legwork, the domain registration, the hosting setup and the transfer of my post from free wordpress to this new site. All I have to do is sit back and relax.

If I have to do it all by myself, it might take forever before I get this up and running. I have to research and find the best web hosting company to get hosting services from. It is important to choose wisely as a crappy service would translate to frequent downtimes to your site.

I good place to do this research is webhostinggeeks.com. It ranks the web hosting companies out there and it gives consumer reviews. Our current host is hostmonster and it is currently on top five. It offers cheap Unix hosting. So far we are happy and satisfied with it.

You might have read the post about my phone flushed in the toilet last Tuesday. Then I’m happy to say that I had it back. My sister and I were having this conversation at the 8F canteen at lunch time.

Sis: Do you know that the 8th floor CR is under repair?
Me: Really? Which stall are they fixing?
Sis: The one on the leftmost corner.
Me: That’s where my cell phone dropped.

It must have cause blockage so they are fixing it. I received a call from my husband at around 4pm.

M0rn1ng: I have good news for you. They’ve rescued your phone.
Me: Really? Are you kidding? How did you know?
M0rn1ng: Somebody from your office maintenance called me up. Apparently, your SIM is still working and they found “mahal ko” in your contacts. I told them to return in to you at the 18th floor.

A little while after, Manong guard returned my phone. I don’t have the face to show up to the maintenance guys who brought it back. I just asked manong to thank them for me. They are still wondering how did the phone got in the toilet bowl.  (Amore was right)

I’m not sure if the phone can still be repaired. I’ll check and see tomorrow. It’s still good news that the SIM is still working. Even though I already got a new one, I can still have my existing contacts transferred. I’m so happy!

And oh, this blog got its PR back. It’s back to PR2. Happy weekend to all!

I’ve been busy at work these past few days that I’ve neglected my blogs. As expected traffic went down too, there weren’t a lot of visitors compared before. There isn’t anything new to read that’s why.

I’ve always wanted to market my blog so I’m glad I get to know what Buzzfuse.com can offer. I sign up and put a widget like this in one of my posts.

I activated it and invited my friends to review it. It is also open to everyone so new people who will find my topic interesting can visit my blog. After a few hours of adding it to my blog, I got a lot of new hits.

Just around the corner so I stopped my blogging frenzy. There’s a lot of work in the office that I have to take care of. Then I have to do some raket on my other site. This one rarely gets anything since the PR drop. But I’m still thankful that there still something from time to time.

Any blogger would know the importance of driving traffic to one’s site. This has been a challenge for me especially now that I’m maintaining 2 blogs. I have to drive traffic to both of them. I’ll be happy if I can get around 100 hits for both blog each day. Sadly, the mommastuff blog only gets around 20-40 visits each day.

I know that bloghopping and leaving comments works but it is very time consuming. Having two blogs to write on and bloghopping gets most of my time and I don’t think it is efficient to that anymore. Good thing I’ve discovered Buzzfuse. This site helps you market your site and will help you drive traffic to your site.

Registration is fairly easy. There are no long forms to fill. All you need is an email address and once you receive the email, you need to click the link for confirm. It will open up a small form to fill in basic details.

Once you’re registered, you can upload content by copying and pasting the code into your blog article. A buzzfuse widget will appear on the post and all you need to do is activate and you’re done. Now all I have to focus on is writing good content and the hard part will be taken cared of Buzzfuse.

Good morning to all of you! I woke up a bit early this morning and I was glad to still see a lot of assignments to blog. Morning is still the best time to get opps and early bird surely gets some worm. Hehehe. The boys are still sleeping so I can work in peace.

I want to get blogging done early, as I want to maximize weekends by spending time with the family, not sitting behind the computer all day long. We also do volunteer work by preaching and teaching people about the Bible every weekend so our schedule is pretty full.

We’ll be hitting the grocery in a while too. M0rn1ng already looked into our cupboard and list down the things we need to buy. I’m blessed to have such a husband. He is really a darling.
