Ties are his Fetish

cs0535_md_tnt.jpgWhen I got married I was surprised to discover that my husband owns around a hundred neckties. Apparently this is one of the things that he loves to collect. If women love shoes and bags, he loves ties. He has those graphic, flowery and even cartoon character prints. He said that it upgrades an ordinary and plain looking long sleeves shirt and makes a powerful statement. I couldn’t agree more.

When I went to Sydney I brought home a kangaroo print necktie and he loved it. That was 5 years ago and we’re still boyfriend-girlfriend back then. So I’m thinking of adding another piece or two to his collection. I’ve seen a good online site that sells silk ties. I love the one that you can see here in the picture. These types are perfect for his striped shirts and he doesn’t have a plain and classic design like this yet.

Cold Weather

Bad colds, this is what I’m having right now. Blame it on the cold weather. I’ve never been a fan of cold days. My perfect day would always be bright and sunny. I love warm weather and it reminds me of my prefect place: the beach. So I figured out that I won’t last in places where there are winter times for I want it summer all year long. Hehehe.

The only thing that I love about cold weather is that I get the chance to change wardrobe. I can use my long sleeve shirts, jackets and scarves. It would also be a perfect excuse to wear boots. Speaking of which, I saw some great UGG boots on sale over at footwearetc.com. It looks so stylish and at the same time comfortable. Perfect for winter wear.

It’s been a long time since we had our family picture taken. Got the chance last Saturday. This was taken in the morning at the garden area of the Assembly Hall. I love that B.boy’s arms are flung in our shoulders, brining all of us closer together.

(Btw, see the dress? I bought it at one of the tiangges for only 200 bucks. It is such a steal. )

Prom

The prom is the most awaited social event of every teenage girls. I can still remember how excited my friends and classmates were when we still in high school. They’ve planned the prom dresses that they will were. Mind you these were well thought in advance and almost of them came not only wearing the most elegant dresses but wearing designer shoes as well.

However, I can still recall how hard these events are for those who are not that popular and on the heavy side. For one, it is not easy to find elegant plus size prom dresses. But I believe that even if you are in the heavy side, you can still look very pretty. You agree don’t you?

Gift for Dads

We are planning to go to Ilocos to visit my parents sometime this August. I hope it pushes through as it has been months since we last saw them. Lately, they’ve been getting sick and I worry a lot because they do not have any other companion at home.

I’m also looking at some pasalubong to bring home. While browsing the net, I saw a very nice line of leather goods from Johnston and Murphy. I’m pretty sure my dad would love their bags and wallets. Just sharing this information as some of you might be looking for gifts to give to the men of their lives.
