I just hate prank callers. You know those types that would call and hang up on you or play music on the background. We have a lot ever since our nanny came on board. I later found out that she entertains these people who are really looking for phone pals in the middle of the nights.
Pathetic right? I want to trace all the callers we have at home and do Reverse Phone Lookups to each one of those numbers. In the US this is possible I’m just not sure if this is available here.
Anyway, we had a serious talk to our nanny about this and I hope she doesn’t entertain those kinds of calls anymore.

My officemate and I are ordering food at McDonalds People Support a couple of days ago when we noticed that they have a brand new LCD screen to display their new product offerings and promos. My friend made an observation that it has become the norm nowadays. Jollibee has one and even our company has too, advertising the financial data that we are offering.
Even at homes and in the office, lcd monitors are preferred. It looks sleek and it occupies less space. And oh, they are currently on sale this weekend at Abenson’s too.

Good morning! It’s going to be a busy day today. We’ll share in the house to house ministry. This is calling to people’s homes and sharing with them a few points from the Bible.
Then we’re going to do the groceries. M0rn1ng is also requesting if it is possible that we can canvass for an HDMI switch. He wanted to buy one. I’m just not sure if Abenson’s has it.
We also need to plan for the Singapore trip the week after the next. We only got 9 days to go. Oh! I couldn’t find time to squeeze in all the things that I wanted to do and it’s driving me insane.
Have a great Saturday!

We’re thinking of having our own internet connection at home. At the moment, we are using our 3G phone to connect to the internet. Its connection speed is fine in the early morning but once it hits the early evening, we cannot connect at all. Also, it will be disconnected once the cable was accidentally touched. It can be a real pain at times.
So we did some research on what will be the best broadband internet, similar to Hughes Net in the US. Smart BRO is the most popular one but a lot complain about poor customer service. Globe Broadband is the next option but the connection can be slow at times.
I hope there will be a Satellite Internet here in the Philippines like Hughesnet. It uses advanced two-way satellite technology to give subscribers super fast, always on Internet connection. I would want the connection fast as I don’t want to wait around for it wastes precious time.
We really need something like this especially if we decide that I will just stay and work at home. I’m toying with the idea of some small business sideline and go pro-blogging. But first, I need to have a fast and reliable internet service provider.

I am happy not only because it is Friday but because of this.

Yep, I got the free phone from my Smart retention plan today. I think I’m going to love this unit; cool features, nice keypad, great camera. I’m excited to try if I can have better internet connection at home using it.
I just hope I can take better care of this than my other phones. Please help me God. hahahaha!
Have a great weekend everyone!

We noticed that our little boy is fond of tinkering. He loves to see how things work, disassembling and putting together the bits and pieces. We are pleased to see that. Who knows, he might become a very good mechanic when he grows up.
He can buy used engines and transmissions, tweak them a little bit, enough to be in tip top shape and sell it to public. He can put up a shop like midwest auto recycling which is a big time seller of used engines in the US.
But of course, we don’t want to force something on him. It’s up to him to decide what he wants to be when he grows up. For now we’ll provide him everything that perks up his interest like those building blocks that he can assemble.

And the saga continues…
There is a happy ending after all. Remember my previous post on how my phone was accidentally flushed in the toilet then later on retrieved. M0rn1ng tried it after 2 days of letting it dry up and we’re surprised to see it run perfectly. The camera is the only thing that’s not working but I don’t care. To see it working still despite being soaked in water for two whole days is something.
Now I believe in Nokia phones. Not only they are user-friendly, it is also made to last.
I had my phone back and I can now blog again at home. It’s like a dream. I can’t believe it.

You might have read the post about my phone flushed in the toilet last Tuesday. Then I’m happy to say that I had it back. My sister and I were having this conversation at the 8F canteen at lunch time.
Sis: Do you know that the 8th floor CR is under repair?
Me: Really? Which stall are they fixing?
Sis: The one on the leftmost corner.
Me: That’s where my cell phone dropped.
It must have cause blockage so they are fixing it. I received a call from my husband at around 4pm.
M0rn1ng: I have good news for you. They’ve rescued your phone.
Me: Really? Are you kidding? How did you know?
M0rn1ng: Somebody from your office maintenance called me up. Apparently, your SIM is still working and they found “mahal ko” in your contacts. I told them to return in to you at the 18th floor.
A little while after, Manong guard returned my phone. I don’t have the face to show up to the maintenance guys who brought it back. I just asked manong to thank them for me. They are still wondering how did the phone got in the toilet bowl. (Amore was right)
I’m not sure if the phone can still be repaired. I’ll check and see tomorrow. It’s still good news that the SIM is still working. Even though I already got a new one, I can still have my existing contacts transferred. I’m so happy!
And oh, this blog got its PR back. It’s back to PR2. Happy weekend to all!

If there’s one undesirable trait that I have, it is impatience. I don’t want to wait and if I want something, I want it now. This is why I sometimes get annoyed working on our PC. It could be very slow most of the times. My sister said it needs memory upgrade.
This will be my next project. I needed a faster computer.

Great news to doctors and clinicians out there! Do you know that they could now get a free medical pocket pc software? This is a great help as more and more doctors are owners of PDA or smartphone.
Epocrates medical reference software helps doctors to have access to pertinent information needed to make prescribing decisions such as drug dosing, side effects, and health plan coverage.
When I gave birth, I had a severe case of pre-eclampsia. But even though my baby was delivered, my blood pressure is still high so they have to give medications that will regulate the blood pressure and compatible with breastfeeding as well. The cardiologist was so kind enough to explain his prescription and he even let me read in his PDA the specifics of the drug and that it is safe for breastfeeding moms. No need for us to check with my son’s pedia. So unlike my experience with other doctors that they couldn’t make a decision to prescribe certain medicines because they are not sure if it has an effect on breastfeeding.
So this is a great to have for any doctors. Information that will help them makes informed decisions, all the time, anywhere.
This announcement was paid for by Epocrates.

We’ve been dying to watch a movie for the past couple of weeks but we are unable to. Busy schedule, plus we don’t want to miss out bonding times with our little boy. We’re trying to maximize the time we have and spend it with him as much as possible.
Somebody mentioned about having Bose home theater. That way, we can have the cinema experience right at the convenience of our home. Pretty cool if I may say so.

B.boy is now on the stage that he’s very interested with toys. What amaze me are his choices. He prefers simple things like hangers, box, blankets and even ordinary pot and pans over expensive toys. I’m happy because there is no need to spend. Hahaha!
Last night, we had fun playing with our regular blanket tied at the headboard. It looks like a tent and he keeps on referring it as B.boy’s house.
He also loves playing with empty boxes so I promised myself that I will spruce one up by decorating it one of these days.
What worries me is that I’m good at handling cutters because I’m left handed. It always happens that I hurt myself in the process. I’m so happy that there are box cutters out there that are safe to use even by lefties like me. I got to buy one of those and start on my project for B.boy’s box next month.

We had a grand time at the wedding last night and we have some nice photos too. Good thing we already bought new nimh batteries for our digital point and shoot camera. The old one simply dies after a short period of time despite that it’s fully charged and that is frustrating. So we decided to discard it and replace it with a new one.
I’ll share the full story and some of the pictures taken at the wedding reception later.
