Backtracking : Oct Anniv

I’ve been too preoccupied with work lately that I have found the time to blog personal stuff. I was organizing some photos today and I realized that I haven’t written a post about our October Anniversary celebration. You see, 10.23 was the date when M0rn1ng and I started our lovely relationship. We still remember it even in simple ways as it is the start of something as beautiful as our marriage and eventually our family.

So for this year, I took a leave from work and we watched a basketball game. Ginebra won so M0rn1ng was ecstatic. We saw a movie after. Movie is free, courtesy of Citibank.

We ended the day with a sumptuous dinner at Racks. :) Here are some snaps while we’re goofing around.

Personalized Gifts

People give gifts with the hopes of making a lasting impression and show how much they care. But how? Make it personal.

There are many ways to make a jewelry gift personal. Engraved messages on pendants is a great idea for anniversaries. Also, have the date of the wedding engraved upon the bands exchanged on the wedding day.

Newlywed and married couples alike can cherish gifts such as personalized rings. Jewelry that is personalized touches the heart of the person we love most. Remember that Personalized Jewelry is meant for anyone.

The Spoiled Surprise

I’m talking about this.

1-006.jpg

M0rn1ng bought it for our 4th wedding anniversary next Saturday. He was hiding it at my sister’s room. It so happened that I went there and did some work in our laptop last week. I was there for an hour and I didn’t noticed anything unusual not until he came in. He has this fear that his surprise will be spoiled.

He came in to offer merienda and I looked up and saw a conspicously looking big Nine West paper bag. It only took one look at him to confirm. So yeah, I got the gift sooooo early than usual. :) It was still a pleasant surprise though. :)

Thank you so much Daddy! I loved the gift just as much I loved the person who gave it. Advance Happy Anniv! :)

Anniversary Updates

Our wedding anniversary is fast approaching. We’ve been planning that Boracay trip for the longest time and we waited for the Palakbayan packages to be published in their website. Sad to say, it was too late. Since it is only around 2 months away, the airfares are very steep. It will cost us a mind-blowing 36K plus if we get the Palakbayan package which includes airfare and 4D/3N hotel accommodation for 2 adults and 1 child. The lowest fare I could find coinciding our anniversary date is from Cebu Pacific and even that is expensive at 12K for the 3 of us. We will go over budget if we push through.

So were researching of alternatives. We might just go to Puerto Galera. Problem is, we’re not very familiar with that place and have no idea where to go. If you got any recommendations, please share in the comments section. I hope to finally decide on this and get it out on my to do list.

I also need to find a gift for hubby. I know he wants a brand new TV complete with one of those fabulous tv stands. But I can’t seem to afford that at the moment. Maybe that is something I can save up for on our 10th anniversary. Hahaha! I have an idea on what to give and I hope he will like it. :)

It’s 23rd and I Have a Date

img00092.jpgHappy Monthsary to us. And yes, we’re dating once again. I was so “kilig” this morning when he gave me a chocolate. :) Simple things make us girls happy right?

Anyway, my boss asked me to report to work early as he’s in Sydney and I have helped him put together his presentation. We were pressed for time to discuss last Friday so he opted to discuss early Monday morning. It’s okay as I will be able to leave early too.

M0rn1ng suggested that we go on a date because B.boy is at his grannies house. So I’m meeting my date now. We’re off on a simple movie date just like in the good old days. :)

Cruisin Together

One of my dreams is a cruise vacation, just me and hubby sailing away in a posh luxury ship. :) Nice huh? It will be a wish for our 10th wedding anniversary. Ideally, Caribbean cruises are the best but I don’t think we will have enough money for that. So we would have to settle with Asian Cruises. Even that is costly but if we have the money by that time then we will definitely go for it. I’m pretty sure it will help keep the flame of love burning. Hehehe.

I can still recall that Aga Mulach and Kristine Hermosa movie aboard a cruise ship. That is one romantic movie that M0rn1ng and I saw together. I can imagine the two of us having a grand time. That’s something to look forward too when we reach 10 years of blissful marriage.

Mitch Asks July 5

I have just been invited by Mitch.

mitch_asks.jpg

On July 5 Mitch asks Right after your husband proposed, what was the first thing that came to your mind?”

I’m really corny but I started visualizing how our life together will be like.  How happy I would be waking up each day with him beside me….his face would be the last I see at night and the first when I wake up in the morning.  Ironic because this did not happen.  M0rn1ng was working in a graveyard shift back then so we don’t go to bed the same time.  He sleeps in the morning while I sleepp at night.

At first it really burst my bubble because I imagine our married life as moments of togetherness and doing most of the things together.  Reality bites, we did most of the things apart because of our working arrangement.  We have to adjust and after a year M0rn1ng left his job.  Though, he earns a lot less now, we have no complaints as we felt that we were more together.  We are a family and we started functioning as one.
