So Sad!!!

Published by nice under Rants

I’ve been looking at my blog hits lately and noticed that it is slowly decreasing. I know why. I’ve been so busy to write quality posts and I don’t have time to answer comments and I can’t even bloghop. So the results are really not surprising. It is something that I should expect, but nonetheless it makes me sad.

Blogging and interacting with readers and other bloggers gives me a sense of joy. But there are too much in my plate at the moment and to tell you the truth, I’m at the brink of burn out. Work demands a lot and it gives too much stress that I am able to handle. I come in at 9am and go home at 9pm. Imagine 12 hours of working day in and day out.

Then I come home and there are sources of stress too. Our househelp is more of a headache than a real help at all. I wish I could do something about the situation but I can’t. We tried to find a replacement but we couldn’t find one. So we stuck with the current one despite all her kapalpakans.

I wish I know what to do. :(

I Had a Bad Day

Published by nice under Just Me, Rants

First I had this stomach ache that made me go in and out of the rest room after lunch. Then I had not so good vibes with work. I’m not sure what’s up with me but I am very irritated today.

I went to the canteen to have merienda and possibly a break. My tummy ached again after eating so I went to the restroom. When I was done, I flushed the toilet and down came my cell phone on the drain.

I felt so stupid. :( I know it’s useless to feel this way but this day is one of the worst I had for this year. Now I don’t have a phone thanks for my carelessness.

Somebody cheer me up. :(

Bummer

Published by nice under My Thoughts, Rants

This past few days is such a bummer. In my previous post, I rant about not getting enough sleep because the little boy is not feeling well. The body, can only take enough before it finally breaks down. I’m sick and this is no time for me to be one. I have a self assessment and stakeholder review due COB today and I can’t report to work because I have a flu. I’m not sure if we can extend the deadline. My boss said he’s going to talk to HR. But I will try to finish what I can here at home. At least here, I can lay down and rest when I need to.

It’s really frustrating to have your hands tied when you need to do a lot of things. I still need to pack our things for we are going to Laoag tomorrow. It can’t be cancelled because we already have our airline tickets. And our e-tickets are at my office mailbox. I need somebody to email it to my yahoo addy. And I can’t find anybody nice enough to do it for me.

Haaay! Lots of things to be done but I’m not in the position to do it. My whole body aches, my head aches, my throat aches. Just allow me to rant, this is not the best of days. In fact it sucks and i feel so sad and helpless.

Ranting.

Published by nice under Andre Miguel, Mommy Talks, Rants

Allow me to rant for I haven’t got any decent sleep for the past days. I started the day really exhausted. The little boy has difficult time getting his good night sleep because he has cough and colds. Add to that are the insect bites that he has. He’s been scratching it non stop all night. We brought him to his pedia yesterday and he’s given some antihistamine and itching cream.

I hope he gets better soon as I’m really really exhausted because of lack of sleep. Mahina talaga ako sa puyat. I’m afraid to get sick because he doesn’t want to be cared for by anybody except me at night. Kaya kawawa naman pag sabay kami nagkasakit.

The Househelp Was On Leave

Yes, you’ve read it right. She asked permission yesterday morning as her mom will soon go back to Ilocos. Her mom went here because her sister in Caloocan recently gave birth and she helped them out.

I was a bit annoyed because this yaya has a habit of asking leave on the day itself. She didn’t even have the courtesy to ask for it a few days ahead. So I warned her that she is not allowed to go on leave if she did not give days notice. Haaaay! Minsan nakakainis din makitungo sa mga househelp.

Good thing that B.boy is easy to take care even when he’s sick. He is his usual jolly self. Malakas din ang immune system nya kahit papaano. I just don’t want to leave him because I want to monitor his poop. Yesterday, he had 4 bowel movements. And I want to make sure that he is hydrated and drinks his medicines on time.

I hope he is better now as M0rn1ng plans to dine out in the evening. I hope the house help come back on the agreed time too. Sometimes she has this habit of coming back late. I hope this day would be great. Have a good Sunday everyone!

Somebody Broke In Our House Again

Published by nice under My Thoughts, Rants

burglar.JPGIt was a scary morning for our household. I was woken up by my sister asking if my wallet is inside my office bag. She further told me that somebody tried to break in our house around 3am. Our helper who is sleeping downstairs was woken up when she heard some noise near the window. Then she saw the person at the window trying to get something from my office bag. She opened the lights which startled the intruder. It ran away leaving our gate open.

It isn’t the first time that this happened. You can read the whole story here. What puzzles us is how could the thief enter our premises after the barbed wire was installed. The only possibility I can think of is at the back of our house. M0rn1ng called our landlord and he promised to make the whole area secure. He will also go to the police station to file a blotter.

Thank goodness the thief got nothing. It just gives me the shudders whenever I think that our house is not safe.

I lost IT?

Published by nice under My Thoughts, Office Tales, Rants

Yesterday something happened that gave me a scare. We went to Mc Donalds Valero to buy lunch. I was holding 2 plastic bags of food, my mobile phone and my wallet. I arranged my food on the table as soon as we came back from the office and saw my mobile phone. And I was shocked to see that my wallet was not beside it.

I searched the table and it’s not there. Fearing that I might have left it in McDo, I returned. The lady in the counter said she did not notice any wallet lying around in that area. Where could that thing possibly be? I dread losing my wallet because it contains all my credit cards and a lot of cash.

When I came back in the office, my colleagues are surveying the area too looking to the lost item. I then decided to check my pedestal…lo and behold! The wallet is there. I must have put it there when we frist came back from McDo and I just forgot.

Whew! I’m like that a lot of times especially if I’m pre-occupied thinking of something else. Seems like that I’m doing some things unconsciously.

Busy Week

Published by nice under My Thoughts, Rants

This is a busy week again.  So much to do, so little time.  Monthly report is due on Friday and i’ve been trying to do it this early to avoid cramming. However one of my teammates took a leave without updating our database.  So ako pa nag-uupdate ngayon instead of doing the report.  I should have made sure he did the update before he filed his VL.  Oh well!  Regrets are always on the end.  There are also a lot of projects that are nearing completion and i’ve been involved in a lot of discussions.  Honestly, it’s making my head spin and i’m very overwhelmed.  I need to focus so, it’s time to make a to do list again and enforce time management.

This week is also our Circuit Overseer’s visit so we’re very busy in the congregation.  I took a leave from work tomorrow so i could join in the ministry.  The talk last night was very encouraging spiritually.  We are living in what Jesus called the time of the harvest.  Thus we should be busy helping other people learn about God and his purpose.  We look forward to the next meetings and i hope we can support the whole week’s activities.

I’ve also noticed that i’ve been scattered brain lately.  Blogging, selling panwiches, my work, spiritual matters, and taking care of the family are the things that i juggle everyday.  I should set some limits on some of those areas or i wouldn’t be able to fulfill the rest of the roles properly.  I should set some goals in blogging.  If i’ve accomplished all of those is should stop.  It’s been so addicting and i can’t seem to concentrate with other things.   :(  I hope i would be able to set things straight.

Busy Day and Yaya Concerns

Published by nice under Mommy Talks, Office Tales, Rants

I hadn’t been able to blog a lot today.  I’m finishing my assigned project and just a few more polishing and i might be able to submit it tomorrow.  I’m so excited and i hope my boss will be proud of what i did.  I also got tired of my old blog theme so i changed it.  Tada!  How do you like it?  :)

M0rn1ng and B.boy went to my inlaw’s house today so my new yaya was left at our home the whole day.  Ayaw ko sana.  I have a feeling she’s using the phone excessively.  Why, well…

  1. Our prepaid phone load lasted for only a week.  Previously, we are able to stretch it until a month.  There was nobody using the phone at home so i know she used it.
  2. Yesterday i was calling home from the office and the line was busy.  After around 30 mins i called again and she answered, asked her where M0rn1ng is and she told me he is sleeping.  B.boy’s asleep too and there’s nobody else in the house so i assume she was using the phone previously.
  3. My sisters told me that they saw her using the phone at midnight when they went down to get some water to drink.  I also notice that she looks ‘puyat’ most of the time.  I don’t know if she’s really using the phone at night because we are upstairs on our room.
  4. M0rn1ng called today and as expected nabawasan na naman ang load ng phone.

I already talked to her on proper phone’s proper usage.  I told her not to make outgoing calls kasi mababawasan yung load namin.  I think i need to talk to her again and lay some ground rules.  First, i don’t want her receiving calls at the middle of the night.  Secondly, sleeping late affects her wake up time.

Problem is how do i bring this up?  Have you ever been in a situation like this before?  How did you deal with it?

I am sick

Published by nice under My Thoughts, Rants

Fatigue and lack of sleep finally caught up with  me.  I wasn’t able to report for work yesterday because i can’t get up.  My whole body is sore and i can’t even speak.  So i just rested the whole day.  It was so hard because B.boy is used to being taken cared by me when i’m home, so he was clamoring for my attention all the time.  I had meals inside our room because if he sees me he won’t agree to be taken caren by somebody else.  haaaay!  But come to think of it, being B.boy’s apple of the eye is flattering too.  So i should stop ranting now.

Anyway, i feel a lot better than yesterday.  I hope i can recover soon.  Because i always feel tired and lacks the energy to do my daily routine.  I need a good night sleep badly.

Arrgh!

Published by nice under Breastfeeding, Office Tales, Rants

I was about to leave home from work today when yaya told me that she has done something wrong.  I asked her what and she hesitantly told me that she lost the 2 valves of my breastpumps last night.  I blew my cool as i’m hurrying for work and those pumps won’t work without the valves.  What irritated us the most is that M0rn1ng and i told her before to be cautious when cleaning the parts as those valves are easy to lose.  We explained that i will not be able to report for work if my pumps are not working.  We also told her that those little parts are costly,  300 bucks each.  Now she lost 2 so that’s 600 bucks down the drain.  :(  We also told her that those parts are not readily available.  For one, the Avent Center is at far-away Sta Mesa and sometimes they don’t have the stocks available.  Imagine going through all the hassle just because of the missing parts?

I’m so irritated when i heard that she lost it.  What irked me more is that she told me when i’m about to go hurrying to the office.  She should have told me earlier.  Kainis talaga!

Good thing i have kept the old valves (these were a bit worn out already). I’m not sure if they still work but i have no choice.  :(

It’s Been a While

Published by nice under Family, My Thoughts, Rants

Yah, it’s been a while that i have updated this blog.  It’s not because of lack things to write.  On the contrary there are a lot of happennings for the past few weeks but i don’t think they worthy to blog about.  I blog about things to immortalize them, not allowing the memories be buried to oblivion.  Negative things are the ones we choose to forget so why blog about it?

The challenging things experienced by our household hindered me from blogging.  Negativity looms over me like a dark cloud for a while and i wouldn’t want to write when i’m bitter or angry or simply confused.  I’m glad to say that we’re past the tumultous times and i’m back to my happy self.  :)   So, what happened during the past few weeks you may ask?

  • B.boy had fever and after 3 days it cleared.  It was replaced by rashes that last for a day.  The pedia said it’s because of the virus.
  • We all (including our yaya) went home to Ilocos. (May 12-14)
  • Yaya wasn’t able to come back with us.  We have no replacement.  Good thing that my mom’s helper volunteered to be a reliever until we can find a new yaya.
  • Morning has started our food biz.
  • B.boy suffered an extreme separation anxiety.  We’ve learned a lot from it and it sure deserves a separate post as others may find it useful too.
  • My mom was able to find a new yaya.
  • We celebrated our 2nd year wedding anniversary.  We were quite broke but nonetheless happy.  I made a movie and gave it as my gift.  It was truly a labor of love and i was very fulfilled when i saw tears roll from his eyes while watching it.  We have been through a lot all these years but with God’s help the knot that binds us together gets stronger.  You can view the video on the sidebar of this blog.

Welcome me back to blogosphere!  :)
