Leather Bags

Just got back from Hong Kong and I noticed this chain of bag stores called Milan Station in Mong Kok. They were selling pre-owned leather bags and the store has a wonderful selection of bags which will appeal to ladies who have a keen sense of fashion on a budget. I was eyeing some nice leather LV bag but i still find it too pricey. Maybe I’ll just go online shopping so that I could find one that could fit my budget. However, there are letdowns in buying online like inaccurate orders and slow shipping. But nowadays ecommerce fulfillment services are available in the web that can assure us of fast and error free delivery.

Modern and Urbanized

This is where we ate dinner last Friday.

They call this 365 Plaza and it’s the first time that we’ve visited the place although mama said, my sister already treated them there last year on their anniversary. It has spa, bars, David’s salon, and a couple of restaurants. There is a big empty lot on it’s right and there is a big banner announcing that a Robinson’s mall with rise there. The first ever mall in Ilocos Norte. I wouldn’t be surprised if there will be a shop for Victorinox swiss army watches soon.

Our hometown is getting more and more urbanized. :)

Buys

We’ve spent our last two weekends at the mall. We don’t usually go there unless we really need to buy something. Since we are looking for clothes to wear on our 3-day convention, we hit the mall. I was surprised how expensive everything was. Being the frugal and prudent person that I am, I spent hours just looking and going around. All of the clothes that I wanted are above my set budget. Hahaha! This is the reason why I should always watch out for sales.

Good thing that 15th happened to fall on a weekend and we were able to catch some sale at Glorietta. I was able to buy 3 polo shirts and pants for our little boy. I was tempted to drop buy on one of those discount furniture stores as they are also having a big sale. But I restrained myself because I wasn’t really planning to buy any furniture. We just recently bought our sofa bed and that is that last furniture purchase we are going to make for this year.

Our Weekend

I’m supposed to share our weekend pictures a few days back I never really got the time to write it down. I wanted to post it here because it was a productive one. I hit my target to finish preparing for out upcoming District Convention. B.boy has his three sets of outfit, M0rn1ng bought one set complete with tie and belt. I got 2 dressed for my budget. The first one was bought from a bazaar. I got it for only 200 bucks yet it is of good quality. The other one was from plains and prints. It was quite expensive but since I can also wear that in the office, I consider it as a reasonable buy. I’ll post pictures of these later.

Sunday night after our Bible Study appointments, we went to MOA. We had dinner at Pollo Loco. Chicken was quite okay but M0rn1ng and I agreed that the Spanish rice is sumptuous. The meal is pretty okay considering its price. M0rn1ng and I agreed that we have to be prudent in our spending so we cut down on eating at expensive restos.

After our meal, father and son bonded together while I look around for the dress that I want to buy. We met after an hour and we got coffee from Starbucks. I got a GC from my insurance agent. Here’s our little one enjoying his drink.

Lolo and Lola fetched us at around 9:30 and we feasted on Lola’s chicharon inside the car. :) I can’t wait for this weekend to come. We’ll be in Ilocos and I would have six days to bond with the family.  :)

Baby Stuff

What are the most useful buys that you had for your baby? Here’s my top 5.

1. Towels. The ones we bought before are still being used.
2. Seat Booster. We can bring it anywhere we go and i think he will be able to use it until he turns 4.
3. Breast Pump. This is my real investment. Thanks to this bestfriend I was able to breastfeed even if I work fulltime.
4. Avent Bottles. They are very durable. I also used it to store my breastmilk.
5. crib beddings. I bought a lot so that I can change it often.

Best Buy

Times are hard so it is always best to learn how to save and be prudent. Of course we can not avoid to purchase but we have to make sure that this is really necessary and not just out of impulse and whim. To save on money, it is always best to plan those necessary purchases and scout for stores that offer them on a discount. I found out an exciting fact: Once can always find a best buy at www.buy.com.
We are always on the look out for their weekly deals and it offers a lot of savings. Try it!

Gadgets

Maybe you have noticed that I seldom post pictures on my blogs anymore. This is because our digicam is busted. This saddens me as the little boy is growing up and other people have more photos of him than we parents do. So I really plan on buying a new one.

Just this morning, I was chatting with my good friend Amore and she agreed to canvass and buy something over there. Good thing I still have some Paypal money with her. hehehe. I’m just too happy as it is cheaper to buy is over there than here. Since my lotions will be shipped by the end of this month, then the digicam can still be accomodated. Thank you so much Amore! You are heaven sent. :)

Oh if only I have money to spare then I would buy a PS3 for M0rn1ng too. For sure he would love playing with it. But this is the time to tighten our belt and only essentials should be bought. I promise to buy him one when we have money to spare.

Gift Baskets

My sister is asking me for gift suggestions as they will be visiting their officemate who recently gave birth. I told her to give a nappy cake. We can make one for her and she and her other team mates can share with the gift. She thought it would be a nice idea. The other suggestions are gift baskets.

Then I hear her say, what’s that? I told her that gift baskets usually contain food items, wines or other stuff depending on the theme. It can be personalized so that it will create memorable and special moments. They have their own unique and beautiful presentation.

I remember seeing one of those great looking gift baskets at gifttree.com. It accepts Paypal and other major credit cards. I hope that my sister and her team mates will find the perfect gift to give.

Gift for Dads

We are planning to go to Ilocos to visit my parents sometime this August. I hope it pushes through as it has been months since we last saw them. Lately, they’ve been getting sick and I worry a lot because they do not have any other companion at home.

I’m also looking at some pasalubong to bring home. While browsing the net, I saw a very nice line of leather goods from Johnston and Murphy. I’m pretty sure my dad would love their bags and wallets. Just sharing this information as some of you might be looking for gifts to give to the men of their lives.
