Vivian’s husband is a car enthusiast like Daddy. He drives a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer while Vivian drives a 2007 Honda Accord. He said that cars in the US are a must because you need to travel frequently mostly long distances. Some of their friends have recreational vehicles which they can use when camping during the summer. Like traditional cars they also require rv insurance. However, there is a difference between car insurance and rv insurance.

Photo Ops

The T in Tagaytay is a perfect place for picture taking. So I told Morning that we will ask Archie, our photographer during our wedding, to go with us and be the one to take our family picture. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to come. So Ely became our official photographer. I had to find some prom dresses in my closet that I could wear while Morning and Biboy wore their Barong Tagalogs. So here are some pics during our photo op.

SG Day 4: Johore Bahru

This was taken on day 4 on our way to Malaysia so we can attend our Sunday meeting with our spiritual brothers and sisters in Johore Bahru. It was quite an experience for us meeting our Christian friends in that country. Biboy is pretending to give a talk in the platform. The brothers were so warm and accommodating too.

T in Tagaytay

This is the house that we stayed last Tuesday in Tagaytay. Its called the “T”. The place is so beautiful with almost complete amenities. Best of all, the house is located overlooking the majestic Taal volcano. It was really a great one night vacation that we had as a family. Daddy’s sister was the sponsor for this and the stay was really memorable. My sister in law is having a two week vacation here and they will be going back to the States on Sunday. They are planning of getting a Branson vacation probably next year.

Car Scratches

Since we got our first car last April, Morning made sure that it is always clean and free of scratches. He even borrowed Lolo’s Scratch remover to get rid of minor scratches usually found in the door handles. On its 3rd monthsary, Daddy brought Peep in a car wash and had it waxed as well. Last Sunday one of our friends in Las Pinas invited us for dinner. Michael told us that his car was scratched big time by unidentified drug addict in their neighborhood. Other cars in the vicinity were also victimized. Because of this, he arranged for an auto insurance claim after having the incident reported to the police. To make the claim much faster, he provided all the information needed to the insurance company like the date and location of the occurrence, insurance card and also the police report.

These are real penguins inside the Jurong Birdpark. We were all amazed seeing this very cute flightless birds we only see in the movies. Now Biboy is enjoying his favorite friends in Madagascar the Movie, Rico and company.

Laptop and Printer

We have been using my sister’s laptop for more than 4 years now. It’s an HP pavilion entertainment PC bought from the US and shipped here by her friend for free. We use the laptop for research, internet, writing and printing documents as well. Ivy even bought a Canon printer that we can use for color printing. However, after 4 years the printer has been showing signs of inefficiency and we are having problems printing. That’s why we are trying to purchase a new one and we might probably get an HP printer soon.

Overnight Stay

Yesterday, we went to Tagaytay for an overnight stay at the “T.” The “T” house is a private spacious mansion house sitting at the edge of the cliff overloooking Taal volcano. It is the first Asian home to be featured in Architectural Digest and is a homage to modern design with an uniquely organic flair. You can feel the cool air with a touch of Greek-Balearic flavor, with fully furnished interiors, rustic furniture, lake view patio, 4 master bedrooms, hidden zen garden, swimming pool and sauna. Its a perfect getaway for the whole family. I’ll post pics later.

Daddy Sells, Mommy Sells

There are hundreds of different jobs that you can do. Some prefer the 8 to 5 job which means working 8 hours a day, usually in the office. While others are in to self-employment and doing business by themselves. They may sell products directly, through telemarketing, online, or even through house to house. Because of economic instability, many employees who work in the office, make some additional money by selling different products to their workmates. About five years ago, I tried selling nappy cakes to my office mates and online too. Selling women’s dresses has been rewarding for me too since the clothes I sell are of high quality and very nice designs. My friends and office mates love them. Now daddy sells, and I too.

Daddy’s Career Change

Its been 3 years since daddy called it quits in the call center industry. He was a Business Information Specialist for more than a year taking calls every day during his night shift. After which he became a Quality Assurance specialist for 2 years. The account he used to handle was for a credit reporting agency in the US and they are responsible for updating business credit reports. It was an easy job for him but the work took its toll on him especially when our only son was born. Now, daddy enjoys himself selling and leasing real estate properties. Go daddy.

SG Day 3: Jurong

On our third day, we went to Jurong Birdpark. We took the MRT from our hotel to Jurong. This is how we look during our 30 minute train ride.

Biboy and Peep

Like his daddy, Biboy loves cars too. He enjoys riding Peep and cleaning it as well. You can see him here helping daddy dry Peep after washing it. Peep is now 4 months old and as early as today, Morning is looking for cheap car insurance that we can avail for next year. Currently, we got our car a comprehensive insurance with “acts of nature” clause for almost 30 thousand pesos. Hopefully we can get one at a much lower premium if we can haggle with some car insurance companies.
